I'll go with the original Star Fox over Adventures, because the latter is just a spinoff. Command is rather boring, because it only offers arena levels. I didn't even play Assault, because reviews suggested that about 60% of the game were TPS segments.

The original Star Fox blows Star Fox 64 out of the water when it comes to music. I can't think of any other series that experienced such a steep drop in the quality of compositions from one game to the next.

yea the music of the original was fantastic and its unrealeased sequel was as well.

The first StarFox in SNES.

Star Fox Assault, for sure. I sincerely don't get all the hate this game got, aside from mission where you have to use all the vehicles in Sauria(which was very frustrating, IMO), the rest of the game was just great for me, specially the boss fights.

I was going to say Assault, but I recently seen the a playthrough of it and my god.....its horrible. Writing, dialogue, gameplay...all didn't age well at all.

Tie between Starfox 1 and 2

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

StarFox SNES - Pretty good game.
StarFox 64 - The best in the series!
StarFox Adventures - I could never get into the Zelda games, yet this one caught my attention. I thought the game was good.
StarFox Command = The one thing I liked about this game was the multiple different endings. Other than that, very meh game.
StarFox Assault = The characters don't even feel like StarFox anymore. The voice acting was off, the dialogue sucks, etc. I liked the gameplay, but the other things mentioned made the overall experience feel mediocre.

Not surprised to see the original in the lead, Nintendo for whatever reason (maybe because they are trying to get the Japanese audience more into the game) just can't accept the fact most Star Fox fans prefer the standard arcade action without lame add on features like on foot combat or gimmicky touch screen controls.

Adventures, I know its not traditional Star Fox and it had its flaws but I really enjoyed the game.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I've only bought and played Starfox Adventures and I had a blast with it. Seriously loved that game, so I chose that one.

Starfox > Starfox 64

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
