This was a very eventful month, due to a number of factors. The biggest was E3 of course, but The Last of Us's leaving the chart after months at #1 also singlehandhedly freed up over 100 points. So naturally, everything is different now.

First, let's state the obvious. For the first time in ages, the PS3 was NOT the #1 platform this month. In fact, it wasn't even #2, coming at a distant third. In short, all 8th generation consoles rose dramatically month over month, with the Vita and PC remaining roughly stagnant and the 7th generation consoles and 3DS declining.

The new #1 game on the chart, Final Fantasy 15, was technically announced back in 2006 as Versus XIII, but is essentially being treated as a new game for the PS4. There may be other versions also, but the PS4 one is the only one that charted. Besides that, other notable games that were shown included Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros 4, and Mario Kart 8 from Nintendo, Kingdom Hearts 3 from Square Enix, Destiny, and MGS5.

I'd go on more about the major changes to the charts, but I'm honestly sick at the moment. That's why these results are so late. I may come back to add more observations later.

Post Away!

Seems as though people here are really ready for next generation of games with Wii U and PS4 doing so well. I am actually very happy with PS3 this year (I believe I was "Disgaea D2" and "Dragon's Crown" lone votes).

In any event, great to see enthusiasm for the industry that needs a bit of energy.

Imagine if back in 2006 they announced FF15 instead of FF13 Versus. I mean back than Square didn't know either that it would turn out this way. People have been putting it on their anticipated list for so long that some of them finished their studies, got their first job, lost their first job, got married or divorced since it was announced. Instead gamers get one stretched out version of FF13 in three iterations. *Shrugs*

Nintendo looking quite good. Dominating with software. On the other hand Sony is doing great with their home consoles. They seriously need to announce more software for Vita at Gameson. Like seriously.

Good work Salnax. Get well soon.

Get sell soon Salnax, and thanks for your excellent work as usual.

I must say that I'm very surprised, I was expecting Pokemon to be the number one this month. But 3DS did bad this month. WiiU and PS4 are very strong, and the Xbox One... not so much.

Oh, and not a single game in neither of the top 20 from EA.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 rocked the charts nice!!!!.
