So I'm a big JRPG fan and I have been wanting to find some new JRPG franchises to get into, post some of your favorites so I can see what some of the bests are, thanks.

My top 5:

1. Kingdom Hearts

2. Tales of 

3. Final Fantasy (Not the recent ones...)

4. Ys

5. Vlkyaria Chronicles 

Honorable mention: The Shin Megami Tensei games and Pokemon (I guess its technically a JRPG)

I've been getting fond of Tales of Vesperia. A lot. Awesome JRPG.

Anyway, you also have Lost Odyssey, Valkyria Chronicles, Demon/Dark Souls,  Dragon's Dogma... and of course, Final Fantasy VI.

I never really got into Demon/Dark Souls, it seems like its gonna get me stressed out and rage lol.

Wait those are jrpg's? I always just categorized them as rpg, like skyrim or something. They don't feel like a jrpg.

Xenoblade, best JRPG of the generation IMO

Honorable mentions: Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest

You don't know how bad I want to play that game, but its so god dam expensive. 

If you've never played the Wild ARMs series, I highly recommend it. I started with the 3rd game but the first is a fine place to start too.

They're all very traditional JRPG's (except with a focus on guns as weapons) and they're all very, very good (except 2 which I have never played).

You could have highlighted Dragon's Dogma for the same motive. But those games have japanese soul, so they're JRPGs.

a list that is not topped by chrono trigger is incorrect and worthless by default.
