Too bad that you don' have any, since you have been making several alts and just spewing out a bunch of crap from your mouth. Just shows w hat others think of you. But hey! At least it is healthy to do that kind of stuff

All of which are "Mario" games in name only. Nintendo fans often regard them as seperate franchises because, well, they hardly resemble the main series. It's not like Final Fantasy Tactics which technically is still an RPG with many gameplay similarities to Final Fantasy games.
Now, I'd say a much better case can be made for Pokemon being milked to high heaven. It's been turned into an annually released franchise with several same-genre spinoffs on both consoles and handhelds.

What are u talking about, there was never a 13 year stretch without mario games |
that's what you got? it's 13 years TOTAL, not in a row.
Jozi said: "one 3d mario and one 2d mario for each console is milking, ok." That's just putting a pro Nintendo spin on it. Not even true either because Wii had 2 3D and 1 2D game. By the end of the year both the Wii U and 3DS will have already had a 3D and 2D Mario each and there will be more to come. Again though it is ignoring the fact that there are still Mario Karts, Tenis, Party, Paper, Olympics, Soccer, Baseball,RPG games abnd anything else. That is milking the Mario name for all it's worth. If Nintendo lost the license to use Mario they would struggle tremendously. |
b1: wii was the exception, big deal. and show me your crystal ball to prove more will come to both wii u and 3ds. even if they do, better for gamers.
b2: All different franchises, if putting mario characters on those games not only works but add to the carisma, why change? It's much better than make the same game, put a new character and then call it a new franchise (what many other devs do).

they're regarded as different franchises because that's what they are.
I agree that pokemon is overused (pun intended) but I wouldn't call those spin offs as "same genre" to the main series.
