Mario Kart 8 Is Apparently Coming In April 2014


A recent newsletter from Nintendo Europe states that the fantastic Mario Kart 8 for Wii U will be coming in April 2014. Nintendo hasn’t said when gamers should expect the game, only giving out a tentative 2014 release date. Hopefully there won’t be a drought between Super Mario 3D World, which is due to be released in December, and Mario Kart 8 in April.

I thought they already said they were planning on a Spring release? Regardless, I sure hope they take as much time as they need with this game after they rushed with MK7. The game still turned out spectacular, but they could have done so much more, namely making Waluigi playable lol. I certainly wouldn't mind any number of delays as long as MK8 is truely the best n definitive game in the series. I could just keep playing MK7 until it comes out! ^_^

It's what they'll likely do. Though, the earliest would be probably late March, latest would be before E3 2014.

It's fine, it's about what I expected. It will be there around Japanese Golden Week.

There probably will be another drought for Jan-March 2014.

I swear this is all Nintendo seem to do, there always seems to be another Mario, Donkey Kong, Pokemon or Zelda game coming out. There doesn't ever appear to be just one year where we don't get one of these games.

I was actually expecting this. Spring and April are pretty much the same thing in my head. So when somebody says Spring, I think April.

Yeah I know, its awesome right?  Man I really hope they don't stop making these world renowned and loved franchises just because a bunch of people who don't play them sit and complain about it on the internet, amirite?

Oh you don't have to worry they'd never stop making them. If you took those franchises away then Nintendo couldn't even last a year.

Milking the same few franchises is all they can do if they want to last in this business.

Fact is, the other companies have to create new ip's constantly cause they milk their franchises for 5 years and then nobody cares for it anymore.
