Infamous or Forza

With The Division now fully confirmed running on PS4, I can confidently say it is graphics king, IMO, on consoles. For PC it would be Battlefield 3 but The Division gives it a run for it's money and it's completely open world.

Digital foundry says it's running on ps4.  http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-tech-analysis-tom-clancys-the-division

I don't think they would write a whole article talking about it running on ps4 if it was really running on PC.

That is just a trailer analysis it's clear from the article they never actually interviewed anyone from Ubisoft, they probably just assumed it was PS4 because they used a PS4 controler. So we have a trailer analysis that assumed it was PS4 because of a trailer vs an article that states that Ubisoft told them it was running on a PC with a PS4 controler.

Ubisoft have also said that they prototype their games on PC first and then port to PS4 and XBone this gen.

@CGI Final Fantasy XV has a pettition of a PC version as well, but that was confirmed to be running on a high spec PC as well.

"Now, though, we're developing on DirectX 11, not based on the PS4 or the Xbox One. This lets us develop full-spec without worrying about individual platforms, then port it to each console in the most appropriate way. As a result, the original Final Fantasy XV runs on a pretty high-spec PC, and how close a console gets to this original depends on its specs."

Lets face it unless the game is first party it's safe to assume it was running on a PC at E3. Just look at how many technical issues came up during the conferences, lets face it early console dev kits is not an issue that developers would want to put up with during E3 much safer just to run it on a PC. And consider some of the games we know were running on dev kits Knack for example with it's framerate dropping into the teens, and that is a first party launch title. Games tend not to be performance optimised until the final few months of development much safer to just throw a titan or two at it and not have to worry about performance, that is why Lococycle a X360/Xbone XBLA title was running on PCs packing a titan one less thing to worry about.

Even over The Dark Sorcerer?

Well if I count The Dark Sorcerer then no.  The Dark Sorcerer blows everything else out of the water.  Just knowing QD's track record of giving us better graphics for their games than what they show in tech demos, I am fucking excited.  Have full faith in QD to deliver some of the best graphics on PS4.

I don't get why people bring tech demos into the discussion in the first place. It clearly says game in the title, even if the dev may well make a game with better visuals than their tech demo it's still not a game.

The PC version of .

Really. As great as consoles are, and there are great games on all consoles. None of the consoles match what a good PC can do. Most of those XBone games at E3 looked so good because they were in fact playing the PC version.

@Zarx no one is saying that The Dark Sorcerer was the best looking game, but since the graphics were so amazing it does help set a standard for what to hopefully expect this next gen cycle in terms of graphics. Also that was running on the PS4 and you could "play" it... well change the lights and camera angles...

I will permaban myself if the game releases in 2014.

in reference to KH3 release date

To me, the game of the show was The Division. Visually, this game blew me away. Take into account that the game is open world AND an MMO... Just awesome.

I thought I'd like Killzone ShadowFall's showing... But there's so many pop-ins in the demos they've showed that it left me rather disappointed. I hope they polish that for its release day.

Then there's inFamous Second Son... Which looked really close to The Division when it comes to details. Definitely looking forward to this game, as I greatly enjoyed the first 2.

There's also Ryse that looked quite good, but I've never been a fan of the historical Rome setting. Technically though, it looks really good.

Sure it was an increadibly impressive tech demo, probably the best I have seen to date. I just think that is a seperate discussion, it should be compaired to Deep Down, Infiltrator etc.

I absolutely think 3D World is graphically lazy. It looks bland and detail-less as hell. Bayonetta 2 does look good, but that's not being developed by Nintendo. Mario Kart 8 does look nice, I'll give you that, but NSMBU, Smash Bros, 3D World, Pikmin 3, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, all fall far short of what should be possible on them system. Nintendo clearly aren't trying on the graphical front.

Sorry, but Pikmin 3 looks gorgeous. Could it look "better"? Sure. But it looks fantastic, and I can't wait to play it.
