Forums - Gaming Discussion - This is why Playstation Plus is better then xboxlive!

How exactly is renting games good? Seriously who pays for games he does not own? I buy most of my games for like 10 bucks and then I have them forever.

I mean why even own a console? why not just get it for free with the subscribtion?

Btw you get 2 games and you OWN them forever with Xbox live gold.

Fable 3 right now. (just used my 1 test month for this I am not going to get PS+ or XBLG ever)

Seriously man, don't even mention that, it's laughable. And that give away of old-ass titles will end in december.

No cross game chart, party chat, Xbox Live is more streamlined so no its not better.

But but but Xbox got Halo 3 and AC2?

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

You still rent 64 games in one year for 50$. For less than the price of a new game you can have at least 10 games that you'll have enjoyed during a year.
You love a game and really want to support the developer, you go out afterwards and buy it as a physical copy. Or buy it online. Or just send that developer money cuz they've earned it.

If there's not ONE game in 64 over a whole year that you could enjoy it either due to: 1. Gaming really not being your thing anymore. 2. Gaming on Nintendo being more of your thing. or 3. You're a dirty, stinking liar.

I'm getting PS Plus and a 1 Tb HDD by the end of next month. I really do NOT see the drawback of this service, no matter how I look at it. And, as I said, if one game out of those I will consider valuable enough for me to hold on forever, I will BUY it without fail.

Do you think a developer gets a spif based on the amount of downloads for their game?  I would hope that some of that PS+ price is alloted to developer commission.  Would be nice.

Those games aren't for keeps though, their for rent.

Yeah right. Cuz rental services obvi let you keep your games from months to years.

and i owned all of the games i want to play before i could get them on ps+. that's the problems with those games (also those on xbox live in the future), i don't care about them or i already have them.

I dont know why people (fanboys) say xbl doesnt have the same. They also have discounts, exclusive demos, betas as well. I have gotten alot of arcade games, DLC on sale on xbl. I have gotten into exclusive betas too. Plus IMO xbl is better because its more stable. PSN down for over a month is bad, xbl has never been down for that long. Plus we get trails for every arcade game unlike PSN. Now xbox one backed with 300,000k servers will just make xbl even better. And just like others have stated, you have to keep paying to get "free" games or else they are gone. You are paying already for those games so they aren't free.

But..but what if sony decides to shut down its servers at the end of the generation? But you are not owning the game?OMG DIGITAL WHY SO ANTI-CONSUMER!
