The first free games on PS+ were the Wipeout HD game he mentioned, Rally Cross from PSone, and the PS Mini Age of Zombies.

That's the ifrst instant game collection, not the first free game.

However XBL gold members got free games before Fable 3. Carcassonne was given out when XBL turned 5 for XBLG members, and.....Doritos made some free games later, LOL.

Yes, this is like being proud that you can beat the kids from the special class. Unless they remove the fee to play games I have already bought, I'm not buying the PS4 before it's real cheap.

I'm already a PS+ member so yeah it doesn't affect me, but I'm looking forward to seeing if XBconnect will support PS4 games that have LAN enabled and will probably utilize that for some gaming even though I already pay for PS+...

Also this thread is pointless. It is not a fair comparison at all. Is ps+ a great value on the ps3? Definitely, but it is not at all the same kind of service as XBL so you can't really say that it is a better value or better service as they do 2 completely different things. Next gen console will be a different thing all together for comparison of services as they will both be pay-walling a majority of online gaming. Even then some things will be brought into such arguments that are irrelevant to the service. TV swapping will probably be pay-walled, but is that actually a service of XBLG or is it a console feature? Or ps4 controller share button..
