I can play Multi-player games just fine when I'm speed throttled to 64kbps, just don't expect voice chat or download any patches, multiplayer gaming itself is more or less latency sensitive, not bandwidth, it's all the 'extra' stuff that wants more bandwidth.

With that in mind, I get almost 50Mb/s on my mobile phone and my Copper connection can go from anywhere from 5Mb/s down, 2.5Mb/s up to 15Mb/s down, 1Mb/s up - With a switch of my ISP's ADSL profile, depending if I need download speed or upload.
