I am in for

The Witcher 2

and I *really* hope they will not give the games away for free on live! Backlog still increasing...

Id buy all if the price was good and this was Steam, meaning I could transfer my purchases moving forward. As it stands, these games will be on a dead platform in 5 months time... No point.

Yes, every single xbox 360(50 or so million that are alive) is going to die and become irrevalent in 6 months!   You sure called that one right!   Everybody is going to throw their 360's in the garbage when they all upgrade to XbOne.

I for one want to thank you for warning me off of buying a $15 game I might only (gasp) have 6 months to play before my 360 is forced into obselecence.

Sony will do this, too. Looking at the last firmware-upgrade they already tried to test how they can remotely "disable" the ps3 so to make people buy the ps4 :)

Maybe that can be an added perk of PS Plus. Firmware updates that don't brick the consoles. If you don't pay for PS Plus you are playing russian roulette with your console.

I really dont give a shit what you or everyone else do with your Xbox 360s...dont care.

I kow that I will hardly boot it up when i get the X1. So yeah, I wasnt giving you advice, just stating why I wont be buying any of these games digitally.

While I would agree with this if I had the console from the start, this seems like an exceptional offering if you have just purchased the console. But I see where you are coming from.

Who says that ANY console is going to have massive sales this generation?  A lot of people already see "good enough for now" value in their current picks...why would anyone assume that 10s of millions of people are just going to turf their current gen?

I for one see a slow down.  There's going to be less quality of games difference between the new gen and the current vs the previous gen and the current.  A lot of consumers look at a $500 purchase with disdain when they're happy where they are now.

Are you sure you quoted the right person? You're talking about masses and consumers shopping habbits... I made it clear that I am not talking about that but my self personally.

There may be people who are just getting an X360 and these sales are great for them, great for them...but that isn't me.

There is no way to get around the fact that Microsoft screwed up by not offering backwards compatibility for digital downloads. If they wanted people like me, who are the ones that buy a 500 dollars console on day 1, to keep buying their digital X360 games, they needed to provide the ability for these games to trully digital, and not tied to a console.
