Well I've not had much of an issue with loading times with games before. So I'll still use my HDD for most games and just use the SSD for those few that take forever on the HDD.

Just make sure you put your OS on it.
There is nothing quite like a newly installed OS.

Also the software too!. Just don't install all the games, and save all the files to that same drive. I save all my downloaded files to my HDD, my OS SSD only has the OS and software installed alone, while two other SSD's have other games installed on them (to cut down on loading times).

The Red Solstice, squad-based sci-fi strategy/RPG hybrid, is available for free on Steam for the next 48 hours
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-red-solstice-squad-based-sci-fi-strategy-rpg-hybrid-is-available-for-free-on-steam-for-the-next-48-hours/
Last month, Ironward gave away free copies of The Red Solstice on Humble Bundle. In case you missed that offer, you can – once again – claim a free copy of this squad-based sci-fi strategy/RPG hybrid as the team is giving away free copies on Steam for the next 48 hours.

>>It's like the devs want to get rid of the game, because if what they want is more users playing, why not making it free for ever and charge for expansions/DLCs?

This PowerPoint presentation does a good job explaining Spectre and Meltdown
https://www.pcgamer.com/this-powerpoint-presentation-does-a-good-job-explaining-spectre-and-meltdown/
Have you tried wrapping your head around Spectre and Meltdown only to come away feeling confused? Don't worry, you're not alone. For that very reason, Red Hat's chief ARM architect Jon Masters gave a keynote on the recently disclosed vulnerabilities at FOSDEM, a free event for open source software developers, with a detailed PowerPoint presentation that breaks things down.
That presentation is now available to view (PDF) , and if you don't feel like wading through white papers like we did, you should check it out. It's not a quick read—there are 90 slides, which he presented during a 45-minute keynote—but it covers the technical details in mostly plain English language, at least as much as can be expected when discussing a technical topic in detail.

This Planet Coaster map is both a working theme park and a playable Monopoly game
https://www.pcgamer.com/this-planet-coaster-map-is-both-a-working-theme-park-and-a-playable-monopoly-game/
If you've ever found yourself asking whether you should spend a night either building a theme park or playing a game of Monopoly, I've got two pieces of news. First, that's a really weird question to ask yourself, and second, you no longer need to ask it. Modder Chant has devised an exceedingly clever Planet Coaster park on a giant Monopoly game board, and it's not just for looks. It's an actual functioning Monopoly game scenario with custom rules you can play while you build your park. Check out the trailer above.

https://www.dsogaming.com/news/dawn-of-war-3-didnt-hit-the-expected-sale-targets-and-underperformed-will-not-receive-major-new-content/
Dawn of War 3 was a really bizarre game. Instead of capitalizing on what it has achieved with its two previous games, Relic tried to streamline the third part in the Dawn of War series and offered an RTS/MOBA hybrid. Naturally, this disappointed a lot of its fans who were expecting something more than that. As such, it does not really surprise us that the game underperformed.

ARK Park, in case the name (not to mention the headline above) doesn't make it clear, is an Ark: Survival Evolved offshoot. Announced last year, it's a fairly laid back museum-like affair where you can wander around and gawk at prehistoric beings. Or is it? Apparently there will be some "hardcore" elements too, if this news story from last year is still accurate.

In a blog post on Thursday, Twitch announced changes to its community guidelines, specifically focused on its anti-harassment and sexual content policies. The post's introduction addresses the common recent criticism that Twitch's policies on sexual content are vague and inconsistently enforced, stating: "Over the past several months, you’ve told us certain sections of our Community Guidelines were not clear enough, or, in some cases, not strong enough to govern this ever-changing landscape. And we were too slow to act. To begin addressing this, we’re rolling out a series of updates to the policies, moderation processes, and products that guide interpersonal interaction on Twitch."

Team Junkfish has released today its eclectic turn-based extraterrestrial strategy game Attack of the Earthlings on Steam. In Attack of the Earthlings, the humans behind Galactoil – a comically dysfunctional interstellar energy corporation – have traveled light years to Planet X13 and parked a gigantic space-drill to mine for fossil fuel reserves, sip the odd margarita in the sun and hunt big bugs. However, their latest foray into energy exploration has landed them in a bit of a pickle; they’ve unwittingly flattened a native species home and now the surviving “Swarmers” are out for blood.

Scrolls servers go offline next week, Mojang hopes to make the software public
https://www.pcgamer.com/scrolls-servers-go-offline-next-week-mojang-hopes-to-make-the-software-public/
I'd completely forgotten about this, but Mojang halted development of Scrolls, the CCG/strategy game that landed it in a beef with Bethesda, in mid-2015. At the time it promised to keep the game servers online until at least July 2016, a commitment that it ended up seriously over-delivering on. But the studio announced earlier this week that on February 13—next Tuesday—the plug will finally be pulled.

Swery's The Good Life is going to Kickstarter in March
https://www.pcgamer.com/swerys-the-good-life-is-going-to-kickstarter-in-march/
The Good Life, an RPG about a strange town in England whose residents turn into cats at night, went to Fig last year in search of $1.5 million in funding. Despite being one of the more interesting ideas for a game I've heard in recent years, it fell well short of that goal, wrapping up with less than $700,000. Creator Swery of Deadly Premonitions and D4 fame said when it was all over that he would try again on Kickstarter, and in a message posted on Twitter today he announced that the new campaign will begin on March 26.

Gabriele Caruso, a designer at Liverpool-based indie dev Space Lizard Studio, was in the process of moving into a new house when he hit upon the idea for a horror game. "The emptiness of the new house, and being surrounded by cardboard boxes, made me think that being alone with them was one of the most terrifying things. It was like a maze," he said. And so, Paper Cut Mansion, a "procedurally generated roguelike horror game," was born.

Destiny 2 is not without its troubles, but it has nonetheless been a big success for Activision. The company said in its fourth-quarter and 2017 year-end financial results that the space-wizard shooter was "the largest PC launch in Activision history based on units," and that its first expansion, Curse of Osiris, had a higher attach rate—that is, the percentage of Destiny 2 owners who bought it—than the first expansion for the original Destiny.

Far Cry 5's 'Guns For Hire' trailer introduces all your potential allies
https://www.pcgamer.com/far-cry-5s-guns-for-hire-trailer-introduces-all-your-potential-allies/
One of the hooks in Far Cry 5 is that while you, the player, are obviously responsible for the success of the fight against the religious cult behind all the trouble in your little slice of Montana, you don't have to carry the fight alone. The "Resistance" trailer unveiled in December 2017 gave us a quick look at some of the people who can lend a hand, but now we've got proper introductions to each, including—as expected—Hurk "Dangerously Stupid" Drubman Jr., a man who loves to point and shoot.

Abandon Ship casts its Early Access anchor this month
https://www.pcgamer.com/abandon-ship-casts-its-early-access-anchor-this-month/
First demoed at the PC Gamer Weekender last year (the PCGW 2018 is next weekend—have we mentioned that already?), Abandon Ship is a procedurally-generated, tactical combat game that riffs on everything from FTL to Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Sunless Sea. It's now got an Early Access release date, too: February 21.

Nvidia has revealed their Q4 results and, unsurprisingly, they're a new record: https://www.anandtech.com/show/12418/nvidia-announces-record-q4-2018-results

Also, there's a rumor that they are readying new cards for April, and will be based on an unnanounced Ampere architecture:

Rumor: Nvidia Ampere might launch as GeForce GTX 2070 and 2080 on April 12th
http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/rumor-nvidia-ampere-might-launch-as-geforce-gtx-2070-and-2080-on-april-12th.html
original source (in german): https://www.3dcenter.org/news/nvidia-ampere-geruechtekueche-gp102-produktion-bereits-eingestellt-ga104-seit-februar-produktio

Currently, Volta is based on HBM2 memory which is not available in large enough mass-volume quantities, and it is expensive to purchase and implement as well. It also is an architecture with Tensor cores, that's expensive and not likely benefiting gaming. So why produce high-end graphics cards, or better yet, GPUs with Tensor cores?

In short, the "Ampere" GPUs series could be an architecture better suited for consumers, and not the "deep learning" market,  and we think they are based on GDDR6 graphics memory. Ampere as an architecture never made it into the long-term roadmaps from Nvidia, hence logic dictates here that Ampere would be based on refresh Pascal architecture, perhaps fabbed on a smaller node and optimized fabrication process.
