It was uncalled and totally out of place. I hope you get to know if it was really one of the devs.

The thing that sorta tipped me off, was how these devs were once a part of CDPR, and how they had "differences" with the company, so it wouldn't surprise me if one of the devs was salty at constant criticism of their game. It doesn't make much sense to create a private account, with zero name change in their history and no profile picture. The vast majority of Steam users have at least one name change in their history, as well as a profile picture (unless you're a PuB cheater from China, they create new accounts all the time).

Also that user created a thread that gave nothing but overwhelming praise, despite the game flying over the majority of reviewers radars (it didn't really turn any heads tbf) and it's glaring performance issues.

I like the game, I just have major issues with the devs not getting on top of the game's optimisation. They've been putting out patches for a few months that basically work on gameplay and some bug fixes, but someone like me with a 1080ti and an i7-6700k cannot seem to run it even decently at 1440p.

I just ran Spellforce III at near ultra settings, and I can definitely manage above 60fps and the worst dips I've had on that game so far are 50-55, but then it scales back up to 70-100 frames in no time. With Seven, I'll be lucky if I can maintain 60, as it mostly goes down from 60 to sub 30fps nearly all the time, except for areas with no objects or NPC's. Game is in dire need of performance optimisation (maybe that's why they left CDPR, because they couldn't cut it with their poor quality craftsmanship).

Btw, I'd highly suggest giving Spellforce III a go. It's a nice blend of RTS meets RPG, as well as having Geralt's voice actor as the second protagonist, which gives the game a nice touch of familiarity. Graphics and visuals in that game are gorgeous and while I am waiting for further performance patches, it still runs better than Seven does.

I wouldn't really relate them being ex-CDPR with the game having troubles. People leave studios for a lot of reasons, no only because they're not good enough.

And yes, it could be just one of the devs that, tired of the complains, simply exploded. It's a shame, but this things happen.

Oh, and I've never changed my Steam name or profile pic .

*Edit* I'll check some gameplay videos of Spellforce III.  I'm a bit picky with RTSs.

The problem with AC is/was that Ubi got greedy with the annual releases, and that had its consequences.

Btw, is there something true with that rumor that Origin had something to do with bringing Desmond back?

So far I haven't seen any indication of it whatsoever. Hell, I've played the game for like 50h and I've seen maybe 2 sequences outside of the animus totaling 5 min. No idea how it fits in with Desmond. And even if it somehow does, there's no point if they don't drastically expand the current time gameplay again.

I see.

I asked because I read that the game could lead to some object that could bring Desmond back from the dead, which is an idea I would appreciate since I don't really like how they finished his story.

They would have to give a shit about the Abstergo story first.

Well, I was thinking more about the story about the ancient civilization, rather than Abstergo, but yeah you're right.

Dark Souls 2 Enemy Randomizer mod is a game changer
http://www.pcgamer.com/dark-souls-2-enemy-randomizer-mod-is-a-game-changer/
I still remember my first venture into Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin's Forest of the Fallen Giants. Where once there was a clutter of bow and axe-wielding hollows, now stood a blighting Ogre who, if given the chance, would crush pursuers under the weight of its oversized arse. Enemy placement changes, evidently, had reworked the game entirely.
Benzoingum's work-in-progress Enemy Randomizer mod aims to takes this element of surprise one step further, by allowing players to shift and change the layout of SotFS's baddies by their own volition.

>>You can get it from Nexus Mods.

The multiplayer survival game Rust debuted on Steam in December 2013. Now here we are in 2018, and wow, it's still there. Not for much longer, however, because believe it or not creator Garry Newman announced today that it will go into full release on February 8.

Fortnite launches in Korea and celebrates with a bizarre video
http://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-launches-in-korea-and-celebrates-with-a-bizarre-video/
As of 8:00 am ET this morning, Fortnite went live in Korea. Besides a small patch that adds Korean language support, the occasion also was marked by the release of a Korean commercial. Some people get dressed in wacky costumes then dance and yell for a while. I can't translate what they guy is saying, but I can imagine he's explaining what Fortnite is in a punchy, enticing way. I don't speak Korean, but it feels honest. I want the product. Damn! They got me.

The Hidden Ones reveal themselves in the Assassin's Creed Origins DLC launch trailer
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-hidden-ones-reveal-themselves-in-the-assassins-creed-origins-dlc-launch-trailer/
The Assassin's Creed Origins expansion The Hidden Ones will go live tomorrow, taking Beyak and the gang to the Sinai to throw down with occupying Roman forces four years after the events of the main game. We covered most of what's involved last week—new weapons, outfits, and mounts, increased level cap, included with the season pass or $10 standalone—which means that now it's time to kick back, take a break, and watch the launch trailer.

The Red Strings Club launch trailer teases cyberpunk bartending and futuristic phone calls

The Red Strings Club, a "cyberpunk narrative experience" about fate, happiness, pottery, and tending bar, is now live on Steam. That makes this a fine time to dive into the launch trailer to see what it's all about.

Total War: Warhammer 2 gets free Skaven Tretch Craventail legendary lord today
http://www.pcgamer.com/total-war-warhammer-2-gets-free-skaven-tretch-craventail-legendary-lord-today/
As fond as I am of Total War, I'm still finding my feet with its Warhammer offshoot. I love the games, but I'm far from clued up on the ways of Games Workshop which means every time a new lord or race or faction pops up I'm always a bit: who now?
Who this time is the Skaven's Tretch Craventail—a new legendary lord who's heading to Totes Warhammer 2 today, riding on the coattails of its Rise of the Tomb Kings campaign expansion. Better still, the so-called Chieftain of Clan Rictus is free-of-charge.

In EVE online, the biggest battle in history is happening in system 9-4RP2. We peaked at 6000 players in system.
Fight has started around 7pm aand is going to go to the downtime at 11 am. There must be 8000 players involved in systems around.

This is madness ^^

Server has massive delays however it's surprisingly holding.

EDIT I delogged, thought we would fail....

Our Keepstar is safe, I can't believe it. We won.
