I still don't know how to react to Star Citizen.

- On one hand, I feel its the biggest game ever created, hyper ambitious. All its features are a dream, and I remember when it was announced the excitment around it. I work on big industrial projects and living in a project, with shitstorms, delays and ambitious planning is part of the life. Being able to communicate around the project internaly to the team, the customer and externally to the public is critical since it can help or seriously harm the project. And I think RSI is very professional in their communication.

- On the other hand, it seems so disorganised, there's still packs being sold for thousands of dollars, minimum being 50 dollars for a ship. On the pricing front : I 've not found any clear pricing for the game yet, I don't get the fragmentation of the game.

- I tried a free beta a year or two ago, and it was a fustercluck, I could barely grasp the interface, there was nothing like a tutorial, and after a 30Go download, I expected better than a non functional tech demo. So after two hours, so disappointed, I uninstalled it and freed my SSD from this electronic abomination.

Note : I'm a EVE online player, playing not regularly since 2005.

Around the Network

I think that's the problem of being a crowfunded game. They have relied since the early stages of development on the input from donors and early adopters, so they haven't really had the need to develop a tutorial.

Probably when they launch the game, they'll develop one, but then, it's entirely possible that Star Citizen won't have an official launch, simply launching update after update.

Full credit to the three of them for stepping into the breach, but the questions, and the answers provided, are pretty much what you'd expect.

Light Fall is a stark 2D platformer where you control the platforms

In Light Fall, an upcoming 2D platformer from Canadian developer Bishop Games, the world has gone dark and your only friend is grumpy old owl named Stryx. That is, if you don't count the controllable 'shadow core' that is both your constant companion and the center of the game's platforming.

Marvel Heroes is closing down
http://www.pcgamer.com/marvel-heroes-is-closing-down/
The free-to-play Diablo-like MMO Marvel Heroes got its "biggest update ever" in January, with an overhaul of all 59 heroes, a new difficulty slider and endgame progression system, and various other tweaks. Following that, in June of this year, a console version was released under the title Marvel Heroes Omega. Sadly for players, it didn't add up to much in the long run, as Marvel has confirmed in an email to Kotaku that the game is being shuttered.

Two very different, cool-looking roguelikes hit Steam Early Access today
http://www.pcgamer.com/two-very-different-cool-looking-roguelikes-hit-steam-early-access-today/
Roguelikes are known for the flexibility of their procedurally generated challenges, which can result in huge differences between different playthroughs. The genre's freeform nature can also lead to extreme contrast between different games, and you'd be hard-pressed to find two roguelikes more tonally dissimilar than Blazing Beaks and Deep Sky Derelicts. Both entered Steam Early Access today, but loosely defined genre aside, they're worlds apart.

Build a guild and hire adventurers in management sim The Quest Giver
http://www.pcgamer.com/build-a-guild-and-hire-adventurers-in-management-sim-the-quest-giver/
It's easy to walk up to a guild leader or an innkeeper in an RPG, pull up their available subquests and mindlessly bark "yes" until you're drowning in oddjobs to escort merchants, slay goblins and pick parsley that you'll inevitably forget about. But have you ever wondered what life is like on the other side of adventuring? Four-person German developer Rest.less Games did, and they were so enamored that they decided to make a game out of it.

Belgium may classify Overwatch and Star Wars Battlefront 2 as gambling
http://www.pcgamer.com/belgium-may-classify-overwatch-and-star-wars-battlefront-2-as-gambling/
The ESRB said in October that loot boxes, despite their inherent randomness, are not a form of gambling. A couple of days later, PEGI and Ukie agreed. Shortly after that, so did the UK government, although somewhat less firmly, and with a promise to "continue to monitor developments in the market." Developments, perhaps, like the Belgian Gaming Commission's announcement that it's investigating whether Overwatch and Star Wars Battlefront 2 should be classified as gambling.

>>I personally hope they do consider it as gambling and that publishers are forced to scale this crap down. But in any case, you can share your opinion at poklane's thread.

http://www.pcgamer.com/world-war-i-fps-tannenberg-is-now-on-early-access/
Tannenberg, the First World War online FPS from the makers of Verdun that was announced in May, is now available for purchase on Steam Early Access. The new game takes place on the Eastern Front of the war, and features Frontovik and Cossack units from the Russian army, Austro-Hungarian KuK troops, and German Infanterie doing battle in a more mobile, but no less horrific, theater of war.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire launches closed beta, new trailer
http://www.pcgamer.com/pillars-of-eternity-2-deadfire-launches-closed-beta-new-trailer/
The last time we checked in with Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, Obsidian's upcoming fantasy role-player teased barfing pirates and animancy cats. Its latest trailer adopts a more combative stance—with bloody showdowns, magic firefights, and rampaging golems.

The Surge teases incoming A Walk in The Park DLC, release date set
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-surge-teases-incoming-a-walk-in-the-park-dlc-release-date-set/
My biggest criticism of Deck 13 and Focus Home's The Surge when I took it for a spin earlier this year was its overly linear junkyard setting. I found it drab and confined, despite enjoying the combat and RPG systems within. I was pleased, then, when the mech brawler revealed its incoming DLC promises to be "more open and colorful, though no less deadly."

Restore the water supply in rock-hard puzzler Pipe Push Paradise
http://www.pcgamer.com/restore-the-water-supply-in-rock-hard-puzzler-pipe-push-paradise/
Nestling somewhere between the brutal sausage-fest of Stephen's Sausage Roll and the charming Tower-of-Hanoi-esque snowfolk of A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build is the upcoming puzzler, Pipe Push Paradise.

Nvidia shows off five new PUBG desert map screens
http://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-shows-off-five-new-pubg-desert-map-screens/
Nvidia has posted five new desert-set shots that tease the map's sprawling planes, abandoned car-strewn thoroughfares, hidey-hole houses and multi-storey buildings.

Thanks for the heads up and the fix.

I'm not convinced about it, tho. Suda51 games aren't exactly my thing, and the game isn't perfect either.
