Coffee Lake is going to make a ton of Intels CPU's a complete waste of money.

Wasn't that Zen's job? Looks like Intel has to do everything by themselves again.

Zen doesn't have the single-core performance of Intel, or the overclocking capability though. :P

Coffee lake essentially makes the HEDT Quad-Core and Hex-Core LGA2066 CPU's a complete waste of money, it should offer better/equivalent performance at a fraction of the total platform cost.

Zen already made the Core i3 and i5 a bad buy, so Intel stepping that up to Quad/Hex configurations will make them competitive there.

Free games from GOG? How lucky.

But are you sure they're from GOG and not GOG Connect? Do you own those games on Steam?

Please excuse my bad English.

No, I don't own them on Steam. I just saw which games were free, and ended up getting them.

I'll have to check GOG when I get home. On the web version they don't say anything about free games (besides the ones you can get in the weekly sale, but they're not the ones you've listed).

Wednesday news, part two:

Firewatch is getting review-bombed on Steam
http://www.pcgamer.com/firewatch-is-getting-review-bombed-on-steam/
The big gaming controversy of the week (so far) kicked off in a big way on Sunday when YouTuber PewDiePie dropped an ugly racial slur in an angry outburst during a PUBG livestream. That prompted Firewatch developer Campo Santo to disassociate itself with the streamer by filing a DMCA takedown notice against all of his Firewatch content. And as day follows night, that in turn has resulted in a thorough and ongoing review-bombing campaign against the game on Steam.
