The news, part two:

The fate of Hitman studio Io Interactive remains up in the air, but it appears that Hitman itself will live on. In its financial results briefing document released last week, Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda said the company is taking steps to ensure that the series carries on regardless of Io's future.

Project IGI: We're Going In is in development
http://www.pcgamer.com/project-igi-were-going-in-is-in-development/
Project IGI: I'm Going In is a tactical FPS released in 2000 by Eidos Interactive. It wasn't exactly a runaway hit—our review from back then described it as "a botched opportunity for what could have been a cool game"—but it did some interesting things and is remembered reasonably fondly these days, at least as much as it's remembered at all. We may soon be hearing more about it, however, as a report on Norwegian site Pressfire has revealed that a new IGI game is on the way.

Impact Winter studio releases control-fixing patch, promises more updates are on the way
http://www.pcgamer.com/impact-winter-studio-releases-control-fixing-patch-promises-more-updates-are-on-the-way/
I've thought for some time now that the end-of-the-world survival game Impact Winter looked very promising (...), although the game's mechanics "are a little messy." The problem, very broadly put, is bugs: Bad controls, no support for ultrawide resolutions, no mouse functionality in menus, and a general sense that "this game is a mess in its current state," as one player put it.
Some of those issues, primarily related to the funky controls, were addressed in a patch that was rolled out just ahead of the weekend, and developer Mojo Bones said it aims to have another patch out this week.

Rarely does a week go by without some form of new Overwatch content being teased and / or speculated about, and this week is no different. This new tease – which comes straight from Blizzard – is fairly substantial though, pointing as it does to something quite big seeming.

Now, The Silver Case PC remaster has introduced two new levels free-of-charge that are said to "link the story to its upcoming sequel".
Playerunknown's Battlegrounds will have 2D and 3D replay systems in the coming months
http://www.pcgamer.com/playerunknowns-battlegrounds-will-have-2d-and-3d-replay-systems-in-the-coming-months/
Given Playerunknown's Battlegrounds has only recently surpassed its second month of Early Access existence, the open world online shooter boasts a pretty remarkable amount of depth already. Chris and Michael Johnson's tips and pointers have proven invaluable to my slow progress so far, however news of both 2D and 3D replay systems sounds exciting so far as tracking and analysing performance is concerned.
