Second, and last for today and the week, post of news:
Mr Shifty is a top-down Hotline Miami-like brawler with teleportation
http://www.pcgamer.com/mr-shifty-is-a-top-down-hotline-miami-like-brawler-with-teleportation/
As much as I love Hotline Miami and its sequel HLM 2: Wrong Number's cool video nasty style, I've always wondered what a game in a similar vein but where the protagonist has superpowers might be like. Team Shifty and tinyBuild's Mr Shifty goes a long way in answering my query as a lightning-paced top-down action brawler whereby the protagonist can teleport around his surroundings.
Conan Exiles adds a new dungeon and fixes malfunctioning ostriches

Below the Unnamed City—which frankly, if you're going to call it the Unnamed City you could probably just go ahead and give it a name, like Conandelphia or Exileville or Cincinnati—there lies a vast sewer system, and in those darkened tunnels lie new weapons, items, and a large, slimy, goo-spitting boss monster.
Hearthstone's Journey to Un'Goro expansion is now live

The new Hearthstone expansion Journey to Un'Goro is now live in North America, signaling the start of the Year of the Mammoth. Cards from The Grand Tournament, League of Explorers, and Blackrock Mountain have been moved from Standard to Wild, to make room for the 135 new cards that are now available.
CD Projekt says 'Cyberpunk' trademark filing is not part of an 'evil plan'
http://www.pcgamer.com/cd-projekt-says-cyberpunk-trademark-filing-is-not-part-of-an-evil-plan/
CD Projekt is, generally speaking, about as close as it gets these days to being a studio that can do no wrong. The Witcher series was brilliant, Gwent is coming along swimmingly, everyone's champing at the bit for Cyberpunk 2077, and even though it's one of the biggest companies in Poland, it still manages to come off as a scrappy little guy—cool, even, in a uniquely uncool way. But when it came to light, via Reddit, that it had recently filed for, and been granted, a trademark on the word "Cyberpunk" in the European Union, not everyone was happy about it.
Battlegrounds patch tweaks sound effects for footsteps, rain, and doors (Updated)
http://www.pcgamer.com/battlegrounds-update/
Well, that was quick. Just the other day we listed some improvements we were hoping to see in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds during its time in Early Access, and today the weekly patch arrived addressing a few of those issues. The biggest changes in this patch have to do with sound effects, namely, footsteps.
Update: Whoops! The patch has been rolled back due to a memory crash. Restart your Steam clients to de-patch.
Don't Starve Together: A New Reign update is live
http://www.pcgamer.com/dont-starve-together-a-new-reign-update-is-live/
Don't Starve Together is growing today, with the release of a new expansion dubbed A New Reign. The update adds new giants in the form of the Toadstool, Bee Queen and "Klaus", while biomes such as the desert will be enhanced.
Rain World patch fixes some niggling player concerns
http://www.pcgamer.com/rain-world-patch-fixes-some-niggling-player-concerns/
Ah, Rain World. Killer of slugcats, destroyer of dreams. The challenging survival platformer has just received its first patch, and it does a pretty good job of fixing some common complaints, without making it "easier" per se. For example, now you're far less likely to get caught in a tunnel you don't want to get caught in, thanks to "disconnected exits" (ie tunnels to nowhere) no longer snagging you.
King of the Kill update adds team spectate cam, tweaks hit feedback, and nerfs Magnum
http://www.pcgamer.com/king-of-the-kill-update/
After taking servers down for a few hours Thursday, Daybreak's popular battle royale shooter H1Z1: King of the Kill came roaring back with a meaty update. Many of the changes focus on team-based play—in particular, a nice new spectate mode has been added that allows you to watch your teammates finish the match after you've been killed. I played a few team matches last night, and since I spend most of my time dead because I suck, I have to say the new spectate cam is pretty great.
Dawn of War 3 unit and army customisation detailed
http://www.pcgamer.com/dawn-of-war-3-unit-and-army-customisation-detailed/
The army painter function has been part of the Dawn of War series since the beginning. It's a nice nod to the game's tabletop wargame origins. In Dawn of War 3 you can customise each faction with one of a collection of preset schemes that represent the various chapters and orders of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Or you can set colours individually and create the bright purple metallic Ork army of your dreams.
And now, bringing this post to an end, let's recap the weekend deals:
+GOG
+Steam
- There's three sales going on right now that will last the whole weekend. The first one is aimed at those of you that have invested in a VR headset, because there's the VR Anniversary Sale (I guess because Vive launched roughly one year ago?). Check out the games here: http://store.steampowered.com/vr/
- The second deal involvees the recently launched Squad, that's going free to play this weekend to let you try it out. Plus the game is 50% off in case you liked it. Check it out here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/393380
- Lastly, it's the publisher weekend deal, and the start of the deal is none other than Paradox, with titles like Cities: Skylines, Stellaris, Pillars of Eternity or Hearts of Iron. Check them out here: http://store.steampowered.com/sale/paradox/
And that it. I hope you have a happy and gaming weekend.
