Kaby Lake review. And yeah, it's the same thing, pretty much everyone should wait extra time for cannonlake or coffee lake.

More Lakes are coming in the future. xD

Can you explain your insistence on AMD? Are there features on a technical standpoint that you need or is it just out of habit? Or is there stuff from Nvidia that you cannot tolerate?

Eyefinity is superior to Surround vision.
Plus Freesync is better than G-Sync. (It's open.)

And I tend to get 3-4 cards in crossfire, nVidia no longer supports such configurations.

Plus, AMD cards tend to be better at compute tasks, like Folding proteins, Cryptocurrency mining, that sort of thing.

Very nice, I got the $1 tier. I was always slightly annoyed that AC1 wasn't in my Uplay library.

Not on Steam, so no buy from me.
You cannot pay me to use uDontPlay.

Coffee Lake should give 6-cores in the mainstream. Might be the chip to get for all the old Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge users.

Pretty much what we already knew from the past leaks.

Anyone upgrading now to Intel should get a 2xx series motherboard (because of the extra PCIe lanes and other advantages) and a 6xxx series chips.

Only the overclocker i3 is worth a look.

http://www.pcgamer.com/bioware-boss-says-ryder-is-awesome-promises-animations-will-be-improved/
The Mass Effect: Andromeda gameplay trailer revealed during The Game Awards was polarizing. The nearly-five-minute video showcased some very cool gameplay, and also Sara Ryder's face, which was not-quite-perfectly animated when seen up-close during a heated encounter with a Turian goon.

The game was released in February 2016 for PS4 and PC, and in September 2016 for Xbox One, and it took almost 9-10 months in order to hit the “one million” milestone.

THE BINDING OF ISAAC: AFTERBIRTH+ GOES LIVE ON STEAM TODAY
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-binding-of-isaac-afterbirth-goes-live-on-steam-today/
Today's announcement that The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is live on Steam was a bit premature, because at this particular moment it is actually not live at all. But it's coming, any minute now, possibly by the time you read this, and creator Edmund McMillen said in a message that while the Afterbirth expansion will "close the book on a five-year journey" that began as just a fun Flash project with a friend, it also marks a new beginning for the game.

FORZA HORIZON 3 UPDATE PUSHES AN UNENCRYPTED DEVELOPERS BUILD BY MISTAKE
http://www.pcgamer.com/forza-horizon-3-update-pushes-an-unencrypted-developers-build-by-mistake/
The latest update to Forza Horizon 3, as noticed by NeoGAF, is a whopping 53GB download. That's an awful lot of data for a single update. As it turns out, that's because instead of patching the game to support today's Rockstar Car Pack, the update pushed an unencrypted developer build of the entire game.

>>Ooops! XD. That's quite a mistake.

STARBOUND DEVELOPER SHOWS NEW IMAGE OF ITS 'ADVANCE WARS MEETS FIRE EMBLEM' GAME
http://www.pcgamer.com/starbound-developer-shows-new-image-of-its-advance-wars-meets-fire-emblem-game/
After Starbound finally left Early Access last July, Chucklefish Games' CEO Finn "Tiyuri" Brice tweeted that they were already considering their next project. He showed off a mockup image of a game he described as "Advance Wars meets Fire Emblem, with online multiplayer, on PC," which is about as exciting of a game pitch as you could possibly say to me. Nearly five months later, it seems that idea has stuck, as Brice tweeted an new image of the game with the message "Chucklefish back to work!"

BLIZZARD OFFERS A FIRST-LOOK AT DIABLO 3'S 20TH ANNIVERSARY PATCH
http://www.pcgamer.com/blizzard-offers-a-first-look-at-diablo-3s-20th-anniversary-patch/
As of the 31st of December, the original Diablo is now 20 years old. That's a venerable enough age to qualify for a cross-game celebration, and developer Blizzard is doing just that with a series of events across its current stable of games. Diablo 3's big event is the time-limited The Darkening of Tristram, which recreates the 16-floor cathedral-dungeon from Diablo 1, while adding a pixellated visual filter, removing the run button, adding a more restrictive camera like in the olden days, and having more rigid animations and tinnier sounds. What a strange idea—essentially remaking an old game in a shiny new engine, but making it look and feel as dated as possible—however, as long as the guitar-tastic Tristram music is in there in some form, all will be well, I'm sure.

http://www.pcgamer.com/alien-covenant-is-getting-a-vr-tie-in/
In case you missed it: there is going to be a new Alien film, and, who knows, maybe it will be alright. Not only that, but Variety says that Alien: Covenant will receive a VR spin-off, in the form of a paid app on "major VR platforms".

FREE-TO-PLAY CCG SOLFORGE IS SHUTTING DOWN
http://www.pcgamer.com/free-to-play-ccg-solforge-is-shutting-down/

PLATINUM'S TURTLES TITLE REMOVED FROM STEAM
http://www.pcgamer.com/platinums-turtles-title-removed-from-steam/
A few days ago, a number of Codemasters' racing games were quietly removed from Steam: Grid, Dirt 3, and F1 2013. Now, Platinum Games' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan has been silently whisked away, as have its 2013 predecessor TMNT: Out of the Shadows, along with The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel (all four games were published by Activision).

FREEDOM PLANET 2 LOOKS IMPRESSIVE IN NEW TRAILERS
http://www.pcgamer.com/freedom-planet-2-looks-impressive-in-new-trailers/
Freedom Planet 2 was announced at the end of last...wait, last-last year (2015), and I'd basically forgotten about it until Destructoid mentioned that some new trailers had recently been released. The first is below, and reveals that the Sonic-inspired platformer has come on, wait for it, leaps and bounds since the original game, which was intentionally shackled to the limitations of the Mega Drive.

TOKYO 42 TRAILER ILLUSTRATES MULTIPLE MISSION APPROACHES
http://www.pcgamer.com/tokyo-42-trailer-illustrates-multiple-mission-approaches/
Tokyo 42—SMAC Games' stylish, isometric action game that's a little bit Syndicate, a wee bit GTA1—has a new trailer that better illustrates what its missions will actually entail. You'll be able to tackle its diorama-like environments in a variety of ways, for instance by sneaking into enemy territory and then throwing a grenade into their midst when you get tired of crouching. Unlike in many games, the entire enemy force won't perpetually know where you are if a guard happens to spot you; you can run away, hide and swap outfits and they'll eventually lose your scent.

Well if Intel's next line is going to support just Win 10, then I'll likely be jumping to Nvidia.

You are going to need a stupid amount of hardware to power that thing, 4k alone is difficult to push. But 144fps? o.0

I will never whinge about pushing 7680x1440 or 5760x1080 ever again.
