BEHOLDER, THE GAME ABOUT SPYING ON YOUR NEIGHBORS, IS MOVING FROM CLOSED BETA TO A FULL DEMO
http://www.pcgamer.com/beholder-the-game-about-spying-on-your-neighbors-is-trading-a-closed-beta-for-a-demo/
Beholder is played as a "state-installed landlord" in a grim totalitarian regime, charged with spying on and profiling your tenants. The State demands your loyalty, and you must submit! Or must you? The listing on Steam suggests that maybe you might not, necessarily, although there will probably consequences for stepping out of line, so "go along to get along" might be the way to go. Hey, I'm not here to judge your moral fiber, but just to say that the closed beta that's been running along for awhile now is about to end, and a proper demo, available to everyone, will take its place.

http://www.pcgamer.com/endless-legends-tempest-dlc-comes-crashing-down-next-week/
Historically, the sea has played rather a big part in Earth's territorial squabbling, so it's nice to see that naval warfare will arrive in fantasy 4X Endless Legend next week. That's the aptly named Tempest expansion that Joe Donnelly already told you about, but that we now have a date and price for. October 14 is the date, and $12.99 / £9,99 / €12,99 is the price. You can preorder it from tomorrow for 25% off, and if you're wondering what's included, well, developer Amplitude has you covered there too.

The first of these maps has now been unveiled by the developer, as has a vague date: we'll return to the original game's Angel City sometime in December.
THE LATEST CIVILIZATION 6 TRAILER WELCOMES PETER THE GREAT
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-latest-civilization-6-trailer-welcomes-peter-the-great/
The latest Civilization 6 trailer introduces Peter the Great, a man who needs no introduction oh alright then I know nothing about Peter the Great. However Inow know, thanks to the nice trailer lady, that he gets territory bonuses for his beloved Russia in Civ 6, that he can deploy Cossacks as unique units (Cossacks can move after attacking, fancy that), and that he has a rather enviable moustache.

Transhuman Design's Butcher is an ultraviolent shooter that draws on Doom and Quake, swapping their first-person gibbing for side-on carnage in an industrial 2D world. I mentioned it back in August, and it's out today, on Steam, GOG and the Humble Store.
THE LATEST HUMBLE BUNDLE OFFERS THE ENTIRE COMPANY OF HEROES FRANCHISE FOR $10
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-latest-humble-bundle-offers-the-entire-company-of-heroes-franchise-for-10/
The Humble Company of Heroes Anniversary Bundle doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but it's a really good deal for fans of Second World War-based RTSes. For $1, you get Company of Heroes, the Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor expansions, and Company of Heroes 2 – The Western Front Armies: Oberkommando West, which offers standalone access to Company of Heroes 2 multiplayer. But this is a Humble Bundle, and that means the real deals lie ahead.
>>And talking about deals/sales, don't forget to check out GOG's weekly staff picks or Steam's Fellow Humans sale, which has robot based games from the classic Z to the not so classic Mighty Nº9. Oh, and the Day of the Tentacle Remastered is also on sale too!
