So after Watching TB's review on Homeworld, I;m not so sure since the AI is apparently dumb as champ and to a certain degree on the hardest mode with it also apparently cheating as well in terms of resource gathering and unit output and TB still beat it. I do hope they manage to patch and sort out the AI though because no RTS game is going to hold up if the AI is of no challenge, that and he brought up some good points, we don't know if the game will include full mod support, it has only 5 maps in total which is paltry and we don't even know what the multiplayer scene will be like.

It doesn't surprise me a lot, to be honest.

Yesterday, when I posted the news about the multiplayer video and how they mentioned that it was a nice chance to see gameplay of the game, I found it odd that they hadn't shown more gameplay being the game so close to launch.

By the way, I have two 50% off coupons for "Lootfest" and "Space Pilgrim Episode Two: Epsilon Indi" that last until the 23th. If any of you are interested in one of them, just let me know.

The other downside to this was that their 25% off promotion ended today, I bought it yesterday because reviews came in a bit too late by the time I'd bought it, I do feel a tiny but cheated but I am hoping they patch in and GB allows for more content to go towards the game ebcause I know Petroglpyh had a not so rgeat launch for Grey Goo with AI not being as hard either and the lacklusture number of mapos and the player count goes against their game. However they have been adding more maps as time went on and a few slight balances and fixes here and there so I would imagine the same for Homeworld DoK to get the same if not better treatment since they actually have a publisher behind them, if not well then the chances of HW3 are bleak and Gearbox's rep goes down the ladder some more. (Tbh this game doing well and the promise of HW3 was what would get me back on board with GB).

If Warner is still launching patches for Batman, Gearbox can must do the same.

Those patches WB are throwing out are mianly for their DLC's (like they did when they pushed a DLC focus with Oirigins) =P, but yeah they definitely can and should do the same unless they want the game to die out so soon like Battlefront is with EA.

So between this and that recent "online beta" signup, NR are only focusing on X1 and PS4 with MKX. I can't believe they don't show any inkling of a desire to go back and sort things out but they would rather leave the platform and fanbase in the dark completely, probably told so from WB but all in all fuck them both tbh. I don't see a reason to buy from NR again let alone WB.

Yesterday, we shared with you some new screenshots from Escape from Tarkov. Well, Battlestate Games has released another set of screenshots from its latest build, so we thought some of you would be interested in them. Escape from Tarkov is powered by the Unity 5 Engine, and mixes FPS/TPS and RPG genres.

THE DIVISION HAS A LIVE-ACTION STORY TRAILER

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-division-has-a-live-action-story-trailer/

At a recent Ubisoft event in Los Angeles, I got to watch a live-action story feature for Tom Clancy's The Division called "Agent Origins." Now you can watch it too, provided you're a member of Amazon Prime. If not, there's a trailer for the feature above. Despite its name, the feature (which runs about a half-hour) doesn't really show the agents' origins, but it does provide a little background on the circumstances of post-virus Manhattan and shows each of the four agents being called up for shooty-duty.

JOHN SMEDLEY'S NEW GAME HERO'S SONG IS NOW ON KICKSTARTER

http://www.pcgamer.com/john-smedleys-new-game-heros-song-is-now-on-kickstarter/

Former Sony Online Entertainment/Daybreak Games President John Smedley, who left the studio last summer to launch a new company, has finally revealed where he's gone and what he's been up to. He's now heading up a studio called Pixelmage Games, whose first project is a “2D pixel art action-RPG” called Hero's Song that's now taking a run at Kickstarter.

DANGANRONPA SEQUEL WILL EVENTUALLY HIT STEAM, AS WILL OTHER SPIKE CHUNSOFT GAMES

http://www.pcgamer.com/danganronpa-sequel-will-eventually-hit-steam-as-will-other-spike-chunsoft-games/

As recently as a year ago, the possibility of a Danganronpa game coming to Steam seemed very remote indeed. Developed by Japanese studio Spike Chunsoft, these games have traditionally arrived exclusively on consoles, but that's about to change dramatically: in addition to the already confirmed Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, its sequel is also coming to PC.

THE WITNESS PREORDERS GO LIVE WITH A $40 PRICE TAG

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-witness-preorders-go-live-with-a-40-price-tag/

The Witness, Jonathan Blow's sprawling puzzle game follow-up to Braid, is now available for preorder on Steam and the Humble Store. The bonus for preordering the game, which will sell for $40, is “the warm fuzzy feeling” that comes from paying for things up front, Blow said, adding, “It's exactly the same as buying the game at launch, except earlier.”

>>A 40 indie game. Yeah... I don't see it having the success that Blow & Co want.

HEAVY METAL PLATFORMER SLAIN! HAS BEEN DELAYED

http://www.pcgamer.com/heavy-metal-platformer-slain-has-been-delayed/

In retrospect, one of the worst things about my teenagehood was that there was no video game with a soundtrack composed by the bassist from Celtic Frost. Oh, to live one's formative years in the 2010s, at a time when dark metal pioneers are happily collaborating with the video game industry! There's probably more to Slain! than its soundtrack, of course – it's a gruesome 16-bit style action-platformer – but we won't know for sure until March, which is when it's now scheduled to release.

RAINBOW SIX: SIEGE 'OPERATION BLACK ICE' OPERATORS HAVE APPARENTLY LEAKED

http://www.pcgamer.com/rainbow-six-siege-operation-black-ice-operators-have-apparently-leaked/

Rainbow Six Siege will gets its first free DLC update on February 2, adding two new operators and a map to the main game. That's still a few weeks away, but someone with early access to the expansion has apparently leaked some details on the new playable characters. These could be mock-ups for all I know, and should be treated as unofficial. Still, if they are mock-ups, they're very well done.

OBSIDIAN'S FENSTERMAKER: "I'M ALWAYS UP FOR WORKING ON A FALLOUT"

http://www.pcgamer.com/obsidians-fenstermaker-im-always-up-for-working-on-a-fallout/

I was a little down on Fallout 4, not because it's a bad game but because it's not a roleplay game anymore, at least, not if you want to roleplay anyone other than sarcastic guy, wide-eyed softy or unprovoked dickhead. Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas beefed up Fallout 3's weaker RPG systems to the delight of many, and designer Eric Fenstermaker has revealed that the team would like to do it all again.

>>What do you think, Fallout fans, would you like another Fallout by Obsidian?

SHELTER 2 EXPANDALONE PAWS ANNOUNCED

http://www.pcgamer.com/shelter-2-expandalone-paws-announced/

Developer Might and Delight has announced the slightly confusing name of their new project: 'Paws, a Shelter 2 game', which won't require Shelter 2 to play. To me, that means a new, standalone game with the freedom to recycle assets and ideas—an exapandalone, in other words. Paws arrives on Steam March 24.

I need to figure a way to kill the jaggies in Dragons Dogma because at native 1920x1080 I'm seeing them kinda all over the place and the FXAA on max isn't doing much tbh. I could try going for DSR but I dunno what smoothness to set that at let alone if I can do 4k DSR though I might just stick with 2k instead.

The recommended specs list a GTX 760 or equivalent. I'm sure your 980 is more than enough to run the game at 4K DSR.

Tried it at 1440p with 30% smoothness and didn't really notice all that much difference in it killing jaggies, though 4k did kill quite a bit but I suffered some dips which I'm not all that fond of so I might go back to 2k and sail it out there until I suffer big dips with that with bigger battles.
