Apparently they also leaked PC screens of Fallout 4: http://www.dsogaming.com/screenshot-news/fallout-4-first-pc-ultra-screenshots-leaked/

There isn't really that much difference apart from shadows distance and maybe ever so slightly on the textures bt everything is still giving off that smudged plastic washed look to me. I was hoping there would actually be some significant differences. At least the options menu is the same as Skyrim and not crippled.

I do hope we get the mod tools by early 2016 and not later on since I fancy replacing those textures as soon as I can.

So, what are you going to do, Basil?

Anyway, two little news that are hardware related:

2GB GTX 960S TO BE PHASED OUT IN FAVOUR OF 4GB VERSIONS

http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/matthew-wilson/2gb-gtx-960s-to-be-phased-out-in-favour-of-4gb-versions/

Back in early October, we heard rumours that Nvidia may be preparing some changes to its budget line of graphics cards. More specifically, we heard that the 2GB versions of the GTX 960 would be phased out and discontinued in favour of 4GB versions, now it seems that add-in board partners are gearing up for this change with new 4GB GTX 960s, which are taking place of 2GB models.

NVIDIA PASCAL AND VOLTA GPUS NOW SUPPORTED BY LATEST GEFORCE 358.66 DRIVERS – ALSO ADDS PRELIMINARY SUPPORT FOR VULKAN API

http://wccftech.com/nvidia-pascal-volta-gpus-supported-geforce-drivers-adds-support-vulkan-api/

Some surprising information has been found in NVIDIA’s latest GeForce drivers in regards to their upcoming Pascal and Volta GPUs. As we know, NVIDIA keeps on adding preliminary support for their new graphics cards in GeForce drivers and the recently launched GeForce 358.66 driver has exposed some new information about the next generation NVIDIA GPUs.

>>Before anyone gets too excited by the idea of grabbing a new Pascal card soon, if you keep reading the article you'll find this:

"Now the added support is still in preliminary phase and we shouldn’t get excited all yet. In February 2014, we saw a similar leak through GeForce drivers which not only leaked the CUDA compute capabilities of the then upcoming Maxwell cards but also revealed their codenames. A few days after the leak, NVIDIA launched their first Maxwell GM107 based cards and 8 months later introduced the high-end, GM204 powered GeForce 900 series cards".

Just received a call from Zarx. Apparently he ascended to PC Gaming Valhalla due to the great work he contributed to this thread. He explained he'll make his triumphant return to our realm when Half-Life 3 Releases.

Anybody been watching OverWatch on Twitch? Looks pretty fun... I wish I had a beta key.

Charoze was in the beta, I think. Maybe he can give us some details about it.

@Bofferbrauer: Thanks for the head's up. I went to see what they have today and I found something that I didn't expect. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is 9.09 € with a 50% off sale... but the same game has a 50% off sale on Steam and costs 7.99 €.

I don't know why, but I thought that the games had the same price on all those digital platforms and finding out that this isn't the case has surprised me.

And according to Activision’s latest financial results, the PC is the most profitable platform.

NEW AGE OF EMPIRES 2 HD EXPANSION OUT THIS WEEK

http://www.pcgamer.com/new-age-of-empires-2-hd-expansion-out-this-week/

To say it's unusual for a 16-year-old game to get a new expansion is more than a bit of an understatement. And to be fair, that's not precisely what's happening with The African Kingdoms, the Age of Empires 2 expansion that was announced (but not named) in April: It is in fact an expansion to the HD remake that hit Steam in 2013. To-may-to, to-mah-to, I suppose. The important part is that it'll be out in a couple of days.

No problem, you're welcome

The prices usually differ a little bit between the different shops. The reasons are generally different shares of the sales which the shops take, although with GOG the bonus goodies (the digitalized feelies) might be another reason, as does their DRM-free approach (some might fear for lost sales, thus increasing the price to break even). There may be other reasons too, as some games are cheaper in one shop but other games instead are more expensive in the same shop. And then there are regional differences of course due to currency exchange rates and cost of living.

For me for instance, Steam had a big drawback for years since it was the most expensive shop and has DRM on top of that. Which is why I bought games at GOG right from their launch on, and before that on Impulse (when it was still Stardock and not GameStop), Gamersgate (when they still had direct downloads and not just Steam Keys) and Desura (before GOG started to sell Indies). Due to this I only got a Steam account in January 2013, and even then only because both Stardock and Paradox Interactive where giving out free games over the holidays and kickstarter betas (aka early access)

I got into Steam in 2010 only because I had a Dirt 2 voucher that came with me GFX card, but it wasn't until I found Steam cards that I started buying games from them.

Unfortunately that's the reason I don't use to buy games from other platforms, I don't want to give my credit card details on the internet .

I wish I did lol but Blizz never sent me the email I was waiting for. I even checked today, they did send me an email for Blizzcon tickets though.

If the beta is still ongoignt hen there is a chance I could still get in but if it's stopped then I guess we'll be waiting till it's release next year.
