To be honest, none of Nvidia or AMD have full support for DX 12. But you can replace that with the Kepler fiasco during the launch of The Witcher 3.

At the end of the day, this is what happens when a company gets 80% of the marketshare.

Oh, well. I guess that's another thing to consider when deciding which card to get... if Nvidia doesn't rectify and scraps this idea, which still have plenty of time to do until December.

This is probably my main gripe of the two teams is that we've been hyping DX 12 for nearly 2 years now and so far none of the cards on the deck give full support, I'd pobably not buy into the hype at all until DX 12 games start coming out and full DX support becomes a thing, until then they really shouldn't be fooling us intentially into buying cards that really won't give us what they claim they will.

I do hope they scrap what they are trying to do because I honestly don't want to ever use GE, it just does nothing for me at all since I just go for the updates, to them they would probably go with; "why don't you install it then if you only ened the updates", to which I'd reply" well you gave me that option when you allowd me to download the drivers from your actual fully supported site".

I'll probably consider AMD at some point in the future once I;m done with this 980 but I;m honestly not seeing things ebing amazing on either side since one has the very small share of the market and isn't blowing the world up to take the market entirely back like nvidia has and then Nvidia has 80% and does squat with it and gives you the bad. It's a great time to be a PC gamer for games and all that but not when it comes to GPU's and eventually software update options and DX 12 native support, I;m honestly wondering just how long we'll be waiting to see DX 12 only games, I'd imagine at least 5 more years with the rate the hype is still going.

Age of decadence got FINALLY released? I didn't think I'd live to see that day, got the demo like 4 years ago and really liked it. Good, if slightly clunky at times, in a very interesting, underused setting.

@Bofferbrauer: I'm glad to be able to give you good news.

@Chazore: The way I see it, people tend to be angry with Nvidia for the things it does (like this GeForce Experience BS) and are angry with AMD for the things it doesn't do.

And when it comes to DX 12, it always take some time to see games using the latest version. Remember how long it took for games to adopt DX 10? It took them so much that most devs simply went from DX 9 to DX 11.

At least we already know some games that will use it. And talking about the Devil, I'll start the news with one of those games:

Incandescent Imaging announced today that science fiction adventure title Caffeine – Episode One is the first DirectX 12 title to be released. Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Caffeine is a horror game that comes in the form of three episodes.

...

Currently the first episode of Caffeine has mixed reviews on Steam (only twelve reviews mind you) with players reporting various physics bugs and performance issues that will – hopefully – be addressed by the time the second episode arrives.

PAYDAY 2 gets microtransactions, despite devs saying it wouldn't

http://www.pcgamer.com/payday-2-gets-microtransactions-despite-devs-saying-it-wouldnt/

Developer Overkill has added microtransactions to Payday 2, after stating, on multiple occasions, that it wouldn't. They're part of the Black Market update, which allows players to crack open safes to claim random loot drops. You'll need to microtransact £1.60 of real money, to buy consumable drills that will be able to bust them open.

WARHAMMER 40,000: DEATHWATCH is out now

http://www.pcgamer.com/warhammer-40000-deathwatch-is-out-now/

Warhammer! Warhammer is everywhere at the moment, from End Times - Vermintide to Regicide, Total War: Warhammer, Blood Bowl 2 and OK that's enough for Warhammer now. Oh but here's another one: Warhammer 40,000 Deathwatch, a turn-based strategy game that pits Space marines against Tyranids, in a very bloody and gunny fight to the death.

Valve wants gamers to improve the Steam Controller design

http://www.pcgamer.com/valve-wants-gamers-to-improve-the-steam-controller-design/

Valve has been horsing around with the Steam controller for a couple of years, and to be sure, it's come a long way since it was first revealed to the world. But even though it's now ready for release, it's not really 'finished' in the strictest sense of the word. As Valve's Robin Walker told PC World, he expects that once the public gets hold of it, they'll improve the design even further.

And the last piece is an impressions article about the Steam Link

Steam Link impressions: fantastic in-home streaming for $50

http://www.pcgamer.com/steam-link-impressions-fantastic-in-home-streaming-for-50/

It’s baffling that the Steam Link costs $50 and does what it does so well. The Steam Link is a simple living room streaming box, like a Roku or an Apple TV, but focused on one thing and one thing only: streaming Steam’s Big Picture mode from a PC somewhere in your house. Half of the equation is software: Valve’s been working on its in-home streaming technology for more than a year, improving latency and compatibility to make even twitchy 60 fps games playable over a video stream. In-home streaming has gotten much, much better since it launched in 2014. I even managed to maintain a 60 fps stream in Killing Floor 2 over Wi-Fi in a quick test. That’s impressive.

Sure thing, I'm going to be playing the Witcher 3expansion on the Steam Link and Steam Controller so we'll see how that transitions as I read a (p)review stating that it does not work well with the Steam Link.   Also going ot be playing some horror games, The Walking Dead, and Rocket league this weekend.

I kinda wish they'd drop the remaining thumbstick and just go with the trackpad design entirely with that info screen they once had with the old concepts but later scrapped.

Not sure if it's been posted already but there's more talk about mod support for XCOM 2: http://www.pcgamer.com/why-xcom-2-is-going-to-be-huge-for-modders/

I'm not huge on turn based games but XCOM has always had a place for me, I can imagine modders throwing in some nice throwbacks to the originals, it would be nice if they were allowed to mod their game the same way Blizzard lets you create your very own games within SCII's editor, some pretty great games came out of that including the fan remake of WC3.

That's cool news!

I still have to play The Long War, and one of the reasons is that it messes too much with the game code (I think you can't play the regular game after installing the mod unless you do a new install of XCOM).
