Oh! I forgot to mention that tomorrow there won't be news. It's festive in my region and a small part of the family will join for lunch so... yeah, no news tomorrow.

No worries, enjoy yourself!

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Intel's marketing continues to be shameless by using a faster GPU on their laptop and comparing it against a slower GPU on AMD's side.

Yep, compating a laptop with a 45W 2060 with a boost clock of 1200MHz with another one featuring a 90W 2060 with 1600MHz boost. Completely fair comparison.

You can feel that Intel is worried because they've gone back to their old dirty habits.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

*** FREE GAMES ***

In what could be joked as MSoft still using Internet Explorer to learn about what's happening around, the Microsoft Store has decided to join the party and give away some free games.

They are the following:

I find this slide even more damning:

It suggests that AMD is weaker than Intel across the lineup and that an i3 would be enough to compete with a Ryzen 5 in Desktop applications.

Is the Apple transition to ARM going to hurt gaming on Bootcamp? I'm being rhetorical of course since we don't have that kind of information, but it does have me worried. I plan on building a dedicated gaming PC anyway, but I'm also a Mac user primarily.

Exisiting X86 applications will run through an emulator, so yeah, it will definitely hurt games and gaming performance.

Oh wow. I wonder what those 'real' applications are. Cause I know it's not video editing/rendering 3d physics SIM or 3D rendering, compiling code, engineering work, gaming and streaming multitasking, machine learning. The list goes on

These here, probably also weighted as the percentage they have according to their research (which was on intel laptops with 2c/4t btw, so nothing you'd do some real gaming or work upon...):

Browsing, Office, watching Videos, Photoshopping and light gaming.

Exactly the right things to benchmark a PC /sarcasm *facepalm*
