Been revisiting Borderlands 1. I'm not having as much fun with it as in the past but that's probably because this is like my 7th playthrough. The enhanced version has huge issues keeping a stable framerate. It jumps seemingly randomly from 140 to as low as 40 for no apparent reason.

I'm planning to play through all of the Boderlands games including the Telltale one before BL3 is released.

I'm also thinking about re-playing it, but first I'd like to give Borderlands 2 a second chance. Maybe this time I'll like it.

As for Borderlands 3, well, I'm not in a hurry to get it as I won't think about it until the GOTY edition launches.

No idea how one cannot like BL2. It's just like the first one, only better in every single way. I played a lot of Borderlands in my life but I never went far enough to actually play all the DLC. I need to rectify that this time.

“Social media and videogames prey on user addiction, siphoning our kids’ attention from the real world and extracting profits from fostering compulsive habits," Hawley said in a statement. "No matter this business model’s advantages to the tech industry, one thing is clear: There is no excuse for exploiting children through such practices."

Been replaying BL series myself, but with mygal.

I found the pre-sequel to being rather shallow, and a bit empty on the content side, at least compared to 2.

That said, I'm not happy about hearing as to how and why Claptrap's VA was replaced.

It's been a while since the last time I posted some hardware rumors, so here's a couple AMD ones:

AMD Radeon RX 3080 XT "Navi" to Challenge RTX 2070 at $330
https://www.techpowerup.com/255221/amd-radeon-rx-3080-xt-navi-to-challenge-rtx-2070-at-usd-330
Rumors of AMD's next-generation performance-segment graphics card are gaining traction following a leak of what is possibly its PCB. Tweaktown put out a boatload of information of the so-called Radeon RX 3080 XT graphics card bound for an 2019 E3 launch, shortly after a Computex unveiling. Based on the 7 nm "Navi 10" GPU, the RX 3080 XT will feature 56 compute units based on the faster "Navi" architecture (3,584 stream processors), and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit wide memory bus.

The source puts out two very sensational claims: one, that the RX 3080 XT performs competitively with NVIDIA's $499 GeForce RTX 2070; and two, that AMD could start a price-war against NVIDIA by aggressively pricing the card around the $330 mark, or about two-thirds the price of the RTX 2070. Even if either if not both hold true, AMD will fire up the performance-segment once again, forcing NVIDIA to revisit the RTX 2070 and RTX 2060.

>>My biggest problem with this rumor is that AMD themselves confirmed during their conference call after the Q1 results that Navi would launch in the third quarter, so between July and September, and that goes against what this rumors says about an E3 launch.

AMD Ryzen 3000 series CPU with 16 cores leaks
https://hexus.net/tech/news/cpu/130400-amd-ryzen-3000-series-cpu-16-cores-leaks/
Twitter CPU and GPU leakster Tum Apisak has shared the specs of one of the upcoming top-end AMD Ryzen 3000 series processors, which we expect to be officially unveiled at Computex 2019 at the end of the month. Tum found online benchmark database traces for what he described as a "Zen2 ES 16 Core" processor with 16 cores - and in its current form it has base/boost 3.3GHz / 4.2GHz clock frequencies.

>>That this processor runs on an X570 board makes this a RyZen 3000 and not a Threadripper product.

Also, just to put things into perspective, the engineering sample of the Threadripper 2950X, with also 16 cores, where 3.4GHz and 4.0GHz, with the final product being 3.5 and 4.4GHz.

Divide By Sheep is free to keep on Steam this weekend
https://www.pcgamer.com/divide-by-sheep-is-free-to-keep-on-steam-this-weekend/
Divide By Sheep, the deceptively adorable puzzle game about flinging sheep across ponds and sometimes feeding them to wolves, is free to keep if you claim it on Steam this weekend.
You can head over to Steam now to snag your copy. If you’re familiar with the old brain teaser about trying to get a chicken, a fox, and a sack of grain across a river, you have the basic idea behind Divide By Sheep. But this game adds a few twists to the formula. You have groups of sheep standing around on islands, and each island has a certain number of spaces to stand on. You need to get sheep into the life raft by flinging the groups from island to island, and if there aren’t enough spaces to stand on, the extra sheep will fall into the water.

On the Humble Store, they have started their Spring Sale. The sale will last until May 23 and all major publishers (like 2K, Focus Home, Paradox, Square-Enix or Ubisoft, among others) are involved. Check it out: www.humblebundle.com/store

Use these Overwatch custom games to practice improving your aim and grenade throws
https://www.pcgamer.com/use-these-overwatch-custom-games-to-practice-improving-your-aim-and-grenade-throws/
Some great creations have already come out of the new Overwatch Workshop custom game builder, but my favorite so far is this firing range you can use to help improve your FPS aim. Created by Youtuber PMAJellies, the game is effectively the same as specialized aim training games like Aim Hero, but inside of Overwatch itself.
To access the aim trainer, use the code WRP63 in the Overwatch Workshop. You can select the hero you'd like to practice with (one of the benefits of this being within Overwatch instead of a separate program), which is great for practicing the specific gun mechanics of different heroes.
Another great tool is "Darwin's Ana Nade Tool" by DarwinStreams, which gives you stats and a visual indicator to practice throwing Ana's healing grenade (Workshop code VQ077).
