Unfortunately, and other than that, this new driver does not bring any new fixes. According to its official FAQ, Valeroa should not affect the performance of a game as only a handful of functions are protected by it.

CEMU 1.15.0 available for download to backers, adds PowerPC Debugger & Configurable Graphical Overlay
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/cemu-1-15-0-available-for-download-to-backers-adds-powerpc-debugger-configurable-graphical-overlay/
The talented team behind the best WiiU emulator, CEMU, has released a new version of this amazing emulator. CEMU 1.15.0 adds a PowerPC Debugger that will help for the the development of patches for games, such as dynamic FPS patches (for 60FPS on 30FPS titles), and other, and adds file replacement (mod) support via Graphic Packs.
Furthermore, CEMU 1.15.0 adds configurable Graphical Overlay, meaning that the emulator can show information regarding system statistics without the use of 3rd party tools.
Moreover, it adds a debug option to dump Wii U RAM to files, adds a low battery warning for XInput wireless controllers (Win8+ required), overhauls deadzone and axis range calculation, adds button threshold setting (applies if an axis is mapped to a button), as well as support for texture format R32_G32_UINT.

Heavy Rain and Lollipop Chainsaw running on the PC thanks to the latest version of the Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3
https://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/heavy-rain-and-lollipop-chainsaw-running-on-the-pc-thanks-to-the-latest-version-of-the-playstation-3-emulator-rpcs3/
The team behind the amazing Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3, has released a brand new version and YouTube’s ‘Emulators for PC’ has shared two videos showing Heavy Rain and Lollipop Chainsaw running on it.
Emulators for PC used an Intel Xeon e3-1240 V2 at 3.6 GHz and as we can see, Heavy Rain is not smooth on that particular CPU. Still, we are pretty sure that most high-end CPUs will be able to offer a 30fps experience. Not only that, but it looks like there are no graphical glitches; at least not in the game’s prologue.
We are also witnessing a similar situation with Lollipop Chainsaw. While there doesn’t appear to be any graphical glitches, the game needs a more powerful CPU than the Intel Xeon e3-1240 V2 in order to be played with constant 30fps.

According to the release notes, this new version of Fallout: New California automatically patches FalloutNV.exe to 4GB Large Address Aware and implements many many new bug fixes to quests, visual glitches, stability, some performance upgrades.
This new version also totally revamps the meshes and textures with new compression and fixes lots of errors therein, which both reduces crashing and improves the framerate in all but the most intensive scenes. Moreover, many of the empty houses that were previously copy/pasted placeholders have been fleshed out with decoration, lore, and loot.
The team has also fixed the bug that caused Eastern European users to fail to launch, a user error installing the mod with a simple one stop shop EXE that does everything for you, the “Black Screen on Startup” bug that causes the mod to hang forever, and some bugs in the character revision menu.

The International Game Developers Association has called on the game industry to take action in light of the increasing scrutiny of loot boxes. Pathologic 2 will now be released in chapters, first part expected in mid-2019
https://www.pcgamer.com/pathologic-2-will-now-be-released-in-chapters-first-part-expected-in-mid-2019/
Pathologic 2, like the original, is a story told from three unique perspectives: The Haruspex, the Bachelor, and the Changeling, each of them trying to solve the mystery behind a strange plague that's devastated a strange small town. Today developer Ice-Pick Lodge announced that the game will be divided into separate parts for release, one for each character, so that it doesn't have to delay the launch any further.

Life is Strange 2 episode 2 is coming in January
https://www.pcgamer.com/life-is-strange-2-episode-2-is-coming-in-january/
The first episode of Life is Strange 2 came out around the end of September, which means, based on the release tempo of the original five-part adventure, that we could reasonably expect part two to show up any day now. What has arrived instead is a message from developer Dontnod Entertainment pegging it to a January 2019 release, an extended stretch of development the studio said will enable it to "meet the benchmark of quality and emotional impact that you, our players, deserve."

Sci-fi MMO Dual Universe is now in alpha testing
https://www.pcgamer.com/sci-fi-mmo-dual-universe-is-now-in-alpha-testing/
Dual Universe, the ambitious sci-fi MMO that got a McDonald's before it got a release date, is now officially in alpha testing. That's still a long way from launch, but it means that anyone willing to shell out the hefty cost of admission can jump into the game and start exploring, building, and trading.

Dark Souls 3 was supposed to let you create bonfires anywhere you wanted
https://www.pcgamer.com/dark-souls-3-was-supposed-to-let-you-create-bonfires-anywhere-you-wanted/
I know I'm not the only one who thought the placement of bonfires—Dark Souls 3's take on checkpoints—was a little wonky, and now we might have an idea why. Dark Souls YouTuber Lance McDonald has built his reputation on uncovering all sorts of fascinating bosses, enemies, and systems that were removed from Dark Souls games prior to release. And in his latest video, Lance shows off a bizarre system he found hidden in an alpha version of Dark Souls 3 that allows him to sacrifice enemies and create bonfires just about anywhere he wants.

Artifact's most expensive card costs more than the game right now
https://www.pcgamer.com/artifacts-most-expensive-card-costs-more-than-the-game-right-now/
If you want to buy one of Artifact’s best cards, it will cost you more than the game itself at the moment of writing. Valve’s card game collaboration with Magic: The Gathering creator Richard Garfield launched on Steam this week to a mixed reception, and one of the most common criticisms was aimed at Artifact’s monetisation. Along with the initial cost of the game, cards can be purchased for real money on the Steam Market. The most expensive one right now is Axe, and it will set you back around £17/$21.
>> That's probably why the game has a lot of negative reviews.

Override: Mech City Brawl lets 4 players pilot a mech together
https://www.pcgamer.com/override-mech-city-brawl-lets-4-players-pilot-a-mech-together/
Even though their fights level cities, there’s something good and pure about gigantic robots battering the oil out of each other. Override: Mech City Brawl promises nothing but that, with 12 behemoths duking it out across cities all over the world and, from the looks of it, the moon. The mech-smashing will commence next week, and you can watch the launch trailer above.

In Total War: Three Kingdoms you can actually sell your kingdom for a horse
https://www.pcgamer.com/in-total-war-three-kingdoms-you-can-actually-sell-your-kingdom-for-a-horse/
Total War: Three Kingdoms sees Creative Assembly overhauling its diplomacy system and, by extension, trade, alliances, vassals—really most of the campaign. These systems have developed considerably since the days of the original Shogun: Total War, but they tend to lag behind those found in other 4X and grand strategy games, favouring broad, generic deals and alliances. Not so in Three Kingdoms, however, according to a two-part video series. You can watch both of them below.

Morning, guys. I've found a couple of news (that we all knew were bound to happen) that may interest some of you:

AMD preparing Radeon Software Adreanlin 2019 Edition
https://videocardz.com/79193/amd-preparing-radeon-software-adreanlin-2019-edition
The new driver will be released mid-December. There is an embargo, but at this moment we are unsure if the information and the driver will be released simultaneously.

First things first. The new driver is still called Adrenalin, 2019 Edition, despite the fact that it will launch this year, or so I’m told. The driver will bring a handful of enhancements and features, but I will only mention a few.

Wattman
The driver features new overclocking capabilities, such as one-click overclocking (including the memory – so I’ve heard). This obviously is a direct response to NVIDIA’s Turing OC Scanner, but we have no details on how the AMD tool will work exactly.

Our sources claim that new Adrenalin will also support undervolting, yes you heard that right, fully automatic undervolting. This was quite a topic at Vega launch, so I’m looking forward to how efficient this tool will be.

Last but not least, I have also heard about fan curvature modifications in new Wattman.

Hey Radeon!
Have you ever wanted to talk to your graphics card? Well, guess what, AMD will give you this opportunity with Adrenalin 2019 and AMD Link update. You will be able to issue simple commands, but only in English and Chinese. I don’t have a list of all commands yet, but I heard you can ask the software to display FPS for you, should you need it, or take a screenshot (you get the idea).

Streaming to VR Headsets
The last feature which I found interesting is direct streaming to standalone VR headsets. Think of Steam Link, only for VR headset. I’ve heard the technology is really smooth and lag is hardly noticeable.

https://wccftech.com/nvidia-rtx-titan-graphics-card-allegedly-pictured/
and https://videocardz.com/79200/nvidia-rtx-titan-teased-by-influencers
It looks like NVIDIA’s yet to be released Titan graphics card based on the Turing GPU architecture has been allegedly pictured. The card which was pictured within a PC, built by, Gavin Free, one of the creators of The Slow Mo Guys on YouTube.

Videocardz has a couple more examples:

It's in one of his videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFyYRz82kSM (skip to 34:10, when he's looking for a power supply)

More than a RTX 2080 Ti, less than a Titan V

Probably $1799 - $1999

I don't know. The 2080Ti costs more than the 1080Ti it replaces. I don't see why Nvidia wouldn't follow the same path again.

If you have Amazon Prime (and the included Twitch Prime), you can download this month the games Hacknet: Complete Edition, Poi and Smoke & Sacrifice.

And after the awesome Metal Slug 3 (July) they added further classic SNK games this month: Baseball Stars 2, Fatal Fury Special, Metal Slug 2, Pulstar and Samurai Showdown II

You can keep all Twitch Prime games even after the Prime subscription ends.

Samurai Showdown II and Fatal Fury Special... I remember reading the reviews and watching videos of those beautiful games on the Neo Geo. I even played the ports of other games on those series that launched on my Megadrive/Genesis.

Anyway, here's some more news that may be of interest to some of you:

Valve Updates Revenue Share Tiers, Trying to Keep Big Developers on Steam
https://wccftech.com/valve-updates-revenue-share-tiers/
Valve revealed to have updated revenue share tiers on Steam beyond certain thresholds. Beyond $10 million made in revenue, the split between the developer and Valve becomes 75%/25% instead of the usual 70%/30%. Beyond $50 million, the split becomes even more convenient for developers, adjusting to 80%/20%.

Clearly, this is an attempt to keep big developers and publishers on Steam as they are instead trying to create their own platforms. For instance, Activision released Destiny 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII exclusively on Battle.net.

Jon Peddie Research’s Market Watch reports GPU shipments up in Q3’18 from last quarter led by Intel
https://www.jonpeddie.com/press-releases/jon-peddie-researchs-market-watch-reports-gpu-shipments-up-in-q318-from-las
Jon Peddie Research, the market research firm for the computer graphics industry, has released its quarterly Market Watch report on worldwide GPU shipments used in PCs for Q3'18.

Quick highlights

  • AMD’s overall unit shipments increased 6.51% quarter-to-quarter, Intel’s total shipments increased 13.11% from last quarter, and Nvidia’s increased 4.32%.
  • The attach rate of GPUs (includes integrated and discrete GPUs) to PCs for the quarter was 141% which was up 3.08% from last quarter.
  • Discrete GPUs were in 31.61% of PCs, which is down -3.54% from last quarter.
  • The overall PC market increased 8.22% quarter-to-quarter and increased 0.30% year-to-year.
  • Desktop graphics add-in boards (AIBs) that use discrete GPUs decreased -19.21% from last quarter.
  • Q3'18 saw a decrease in tablet shipments from last quarter.

>>The decline from last year is partially because the crpto craze is over or, at least, it's less than it was.

AMD X570 chipset with PCIe 4.0 could launch at Computex
https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-x570-chipset-with-pcie-4-0-could-launch-at-computex
AMD Matisse

According to the slide posted at Gamer.com.tw, AMD is planning to introduce Matisse-based chipset already at Computex. The slides have Gigabyte watermarks.

This X570 chipset would be the first to support PCI Express Gen 4, a technology supported by Zen 2 and 7nm Vega. This is interesting because AMD was not very eager to confirm that consumer parts, such as Ryzen or Radeon RX, would also support PCIe 4.0. If this leak holds true, then it would be very strange if Navi and Ryzen 3000 were not capable of supporting PCIe 4.0 as well.

The slide is clearly a few months ago, as B450 and Athlon 200GE series are still marked in red. That said, it is possible that the launch could be planned for a different event now.

Intel Glacier Falls in 2H 2019

This slide indicates that Glacier Falls will be available in the third quarter of 2019. This means that Skylake Refresh will have rather a short lifespan of three quarters.

The picture also lists B365 and H310C chipsets. Both start to appear on the market with under a new motherboard SKUs.
