The 9900k has dropped to a baseline around 600€ with sales going even lower. Meanwhile my monitor got 20-30€ more expensive for some reason.

I like the RPG mechanics they introduced. It might take away some of the realism but the realism from the first games makes everything less fun. Being able to just pounce of everyone and leave droves of bodies behind you makes everything less consequential. I remember in the second game where I killed someone and then there came an endless stream of guards and I just killed all of them until I couldn't even see the floor anymore. I didn't even come close to being in danger at any point there. Feeling invincible can be nice but AC wants to be a stealth game, so there should be at least some tension to make stealth gameplay more fun.

Can someone tell me if there are any considerable changes from Origins to Odyssey? I would play it if it was a bit less open than Origins. Traversing long distances of nothing without even climbing shit was pretty lame. I'd also prefer a bigger ability tree.

The very thing I hated about AC2 is exactly what you described - being able to kill so many guards that all the running and hiding from the first game became almost unnecessary is what put me off of it very quickly (I had the same problem back in days with original Hitman 2, after stealth of first Hitman). Origins was ridicoulusly easy and almost no staelth was required, Odyssey is pretty much the same  - only real chalange is you play at hardest diificulty.

As for improvements..well, there's only one type of bow and you can sort of be more free to explore without handholding (but just barely), story seems more interesting and those light RPG elements give you way to somewhat customize your gameplay experience. But absolute crap they pulled is that regions and enemies level up with you, so whenever you level up, your gear is automatically oudated until you uprade it...not so much grinding for resources at the beggining, but it's getting there as you progress.

World is gorgeous, Athens is stunning, and as always I pitty artists at Ubi that made this game world so beautiful, only to have game designers put such a repetitive and dull game-loop into it. For the time being, I quit after some 20 or so hours, not sure I'll come ever back, though if it was possible to go through main quest only, I would do it, but if reviews and reports are correct, you can't do that due to main quest level requirements, so you have to grind side missions...or buy XP via micro-transactions.

Hi! I just want to let you know that I have a very annoying and painful headache that only gets worse the longer I stand in front of my monitor.

With that in mind, it's entirely possible that I end up not doing the news or just a reduced version of it.

And now it's instantly trash. Thanks for saving me 60€.

I've seen raucous about enemy leveling online, I'm fairly certain they've put that intentionally as only option (as opposed to Origins), so that you either have to grind or buy XP.

All this talk makes me really want to finish Origins though. It's a great game but it wore me out after I got my open world fix. I think I was at about 60% completion before I just stopped.

Have you seen a doctor yet regarding your headache?

You're welcome.

Thanks for taking interest, but there's no need for a doctor, I've had migraines my whole life (it runs in the family). This one was only more painful than usual because it was a combination of two situations, a regular migraine and my stupid sleepy me that moves a lot and sometimes puts the pillow in such a way that causes another kind of headache. It's an inusual situation, for sure, but nothing to worry about. I already feel much better, with only some "hangover" from it.

By the way, in today's news there will be something that may help you (and maybe future viv) with AC Odyseey .
