Firaxis has summoned a storm on Twitch to tease something new
https://www.pcgamer.com/firaxis-has-summoned-a-storm-on-twitch-to-tease-something-new/
There’s a storm brewing on the Firaxis Twitch channel, and it’s starting to get pretty nasty. The stream started yesterday, displaying a cloudy sky and a city below. Now, that city looks like it’s in imminent danger. Why is Firaxis threatening this city with foul weather? Has Sid Meier packed in the day job and embarked on a life of super-crime?

Civilisation VI expansion focused on Natural Disasters? I'm always ready for more CIV content.

That hardware is drool worthy. I would legit caress it before I go to bed each night.

Nope. I'm mostly fine with my current setup.

Next year with Zen2, or maybe even the other one, I'll start to think about a new build as my 4670 will start to show its age.

Nothing a little bit of overclocking on the 4670 can't fix to keep you in the game in the meantime anyway.

Going to be waiting on PCI-E 4, DDR5 to drop before I upgrade my desktop again.

In the meantime... Purchased a Ryzen 2700u, 16GB DDR4, 1080P IPS, 256GB M.2 SSD notebook for only $700AUD as a Christmas gift to myself... The display is low resolution, but at that price point, can't complain I guess, not like the integrated graphics is good for 1440P anyway.

Can finally do some light gaming when I travel.

At that price it's the least I expect.

More content is always good. But things like that is what reinforce my idea of waiting until they launch a complete edition of the game. Not only will I save a lot of money, but I'll also be able to have the complete experience out of the game. Also, some of thos new features change the gameplay, so all the habits you developed from playing the base game are now almost useless and you (almost) have to start learning how to play it from the ground, which is great for some users, but a hassle for others.

And I'm having the same problem with other games like Cities Skylines and other Paradox titles.

Get Dirt 4, Oriental Empires, Pinstripe, and some dead ninjas in the new Humble Bundle
https://www.pcgamer.com/get-dirt-4-oriental-empires-pinstripe-and-some-dead-ninjas-in-the-new-humble-bundle/
Videogames are good, and supporting charity is good, so with that established let's turn our eyes to the Humble Jumbo Bundle 12, a collection of nine games and a couple of bonuses that begins with Pinstripe, Super House of Dead Ninjas, Super House of Dead Ninjas: True Ninja Pack, and Rise & Shine for as little as $1. Pinstripe is the one I'm familiar with (it's good), but Super House of Dead Ninjas looks to be the big draw at this tier, with an "overwhelmingly positive" rating on Steam across more than 1,100 reviews.

GOG has started its Black Friday (and Cyber Monday) sale, with up to 90% discounts on more than 500 games until the 27th.

And at Fanatical, we have to talk about two new deals:

Steam now has Australian pricing, but lots of big games are unavailable
https://www.pcgamer.com/steam-now-has-australian-pricing-but-lots-of-games-are-now-unavailable/
When it was revealed last week that Australian currency would be supported on Steam come November 21, the good news was accompanied by a worrisome caveat. If publishers and devs failed to update Steam's database with a specific Australian price, their games would no longer be available to purchase for Australian customers.
It's now November 21 in Australia, and as promised, Steam is showing AU dollar prices across both its client and its website. But many publishers and studios, including big names like Microsoft Studios and Konami, have apparently failed to provide an Australian price, meaning the likes of Fable Anniversary, Ori and the Blind Forest, and Metal Gear Solid V can not be purchased by Australians at present.

This mod for Fallout 4 adds several drivable cars
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/this-mod-for-fallout-4-adds-several-drivable-cars/
Modder ‘ViciousCeph’ has released a new mod for Fallout 4 that adds several drivable cars. According to the modder, the Vanilla Pickup Truck is the most stable car in this mod and this is the reason why it’s the only car included in the main file. Those who want to experiment though can also try some other cars.
Players can also drive the Station Wagon and the Vault-Tec Van. Both of these cars have a seat for a companion and the Station Wagon comes in various colors and 3 prewar skins whereas the Vault-Tec Van only comes with the Original Prewar and Rusty Postwar skins. However, players may sometimes fall through the ground briefly before entering these vehicles.

Fortnite players puzzle over the appearance of a mysterious cloud
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-players-puzzle-over-the-appearance-of-a-mysterious-cloud/
Last week, James was convinced that winter was coming to Fortnite, and it increasingly looks like he’s probably right. It shouldn’t be surprising, given the game’s proclivity for fancy events and the fact that Christmas isn’t far off, and the evidence is starting to mount up. Grab your pipe and your deerstalker.

Assassinate Sean Bean in Hitman 2
https://www.pcgamer.com/assassinate-sean-bean-in-hitman-2/
Sean Bean, Hitman 2’s first elusive target, appeared in the game today. If you need someone to die, you really can’t do better than everyone’s favourite prematurely killed off Yorkshireman. The man of many deaths is playing Mark Faba, a disgraced MI5 operative who, appropriately, has been assassinated more than a dozen times but never seems to stay dead.

Overwatch's new hero Ashe has a problem with her aim, a fix is on the way
https://www.pcgamer.com/overwatchs-new-hero-ashe-has-a-problem-with-her-aim-a-fix-is-on-the-way/
The Wild West-style gunslinger Ashe came off the Overwatch PTR a week ago, and her debut hasn't gone perfectly smoothly. Aiming is the issue: As Blizzard forumite OnlyReaper described it a day after Ashe went live, aiming down sights "feels so clunky and the hitscan feels like a projectile... I main McCree and Soldier, I have good precision with both, but it seems like I can't hit anything consistently like with my McCree."

Underworld Ascendant developer video promises that fixes are coming
https://www.pcgamer.com/underworld-ascendant-developer-video-promises-that-fixes-are-coming/
The first-person dungeon crawler Underworld Ascendant was probably the game I was most looking forward to this year. So it really breaks my heart to see that its release has been pretty much a catastrophe: Underworld is currently rated "mostly negative" on Steam, and a lowly 2.0 user score on Metacritic—where there are currently no critic reviews at all (we have one in the works). The situation is bad enough that game director Joe Fielder posted a brief, ever-so-slightly desperate-looking development update video promising that the studio is still working on it.

World of Warcraft's most infamous disaster is becoming a Hearthstone card
https://www.pcgamer.com/world-of-warcrafts-most-infamous-disaster-is-now-a-hearthstone-card/
Few moments are as memorable in all of World of Warcraft history as the Corrupted Blood Incident. On September 13, 2005, a player returned from the grueling new Zul'Gurub raid and summoned his pet in one of Azeroth's capital cities only to find that, due to a bug, the pet had acquired a debuff that wasn't supposed to exist outside of the raid.
And now, 13 years later, Hearthstone is finally paying tribute to that cataclysmic moment in its own, cool way. Meek Hakkar, the Soulflayer, the boss from which corrupted blood originated, now transformed into a Hearthstone card.

The roguelike bullet hell Enter the Gungeon was quite good when it came out in 2016 and got better this summer with the big Advanced Gungeons & Draguns update, which enabled Shaun to suck less at it. As it turns out, that will be the final expansion for the game: Developer Dodge Roll said in a lengthy update on Reddit that after five years of working on the game, it's ready to move on to something else.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire’s nautical misadventures come to an end next month, lamentably, with the launch of the final piece of DLC, the ominously titled Forgotten Sanctum. After six years, Planetside 2 is getting a fourth faction. Nanite Systems Operatives don’t function like soldiers, however, as they’re robotic mercenaries who fight on behalf of other other factions.

It’s leaving Early Access on December 6, 12 years after work initially began.

November is here, the leaves are falling, and the prices are too: The 2018 Steam Autumn Sale is now live.
The Autumn Sale also sees the return of the Steam Awards, the now-annual ritual in which users nominate games for recognition across a number of ill-described, vaguely-defined, and occasionally outright-bizarre categories—last year's awards gave us "Mom's Spaghetti" and "Whoooaaaaaaa, Dude! 2.0," for instance.
>> Go and buy new games that you'll never play... or don't. It's your money and you can do whatever you want with it. By the way, any suggestions on what games to nominate for the awards? I'm out of ideas.

Half-Life 2 Classic Ravenholm demo demake for the first Half-Life is available for download
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/half-life-2-classic-ravenholm-demo-demake-for-the-first-half-life-is-available-for-download/
In June, we shared some screenshots from the Half Life 2 demake for the first Half-Life, Half-Life 2 Classic. Created by Team Classic, this demake mod aims to recreate the entirety of Half-Life 2 in GoldSource Engine. And yesterday, the team has released a demo that you can download.
The team has been recreating demake models for all monsters and characters from scratch and the demo features new texture for normal zombies, making them wear citizen clothes instead of scientist ones, new sounds for weapons, footsteps, and more, new models/textures for weapons in the low-poly style of Half-Life 1, new “advanced” options to toggle weapon sway and change weapon fov (this will probably be used for more stuff later on), and allows zombies to be cut in half with sharp objects.
As its title suggests, this demo features the entire Ravenholm chapter from Half-Life 2, fully playable in Goldsrc as a Half-Life 1 mod, and those interested can download it from here.

New Dragon Ball Unreal demo released for Patreon backers
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/new-dragon-ball-unreal-demo-released-for-patreon-backers/
Back in June, we informed you about a new demo of the fan-made Dragon Ball game in Unreal Engine 4, Dragon Ball Unreal, that would be coming out shortly. Well, today we’ve got some good and some bad news for you DBZ fans. The good news is that a new demo has been released. The bad news is that the demo is currently behind a Patreon-wall.
This new demo is currently available to all Patreon backers and has not been released to the public yet. Moreover, we don’t know when – and if – Emudshit will release this latest demo of Dragon Ball Unreal to the public. As such, we won’t be covering this project anymore until the new demos become available to everyone.

Modder recreates Fallout 76's photomode in Fallout 4

The mod isn't available for download yet, but it even the little bit we can currently see looks fantastic.

https://www.dsogaming.com/news/nier-automata-has-not-received-a-single-patch-on-the-pc-but-a-goty-edition-is-coming-out/
While NieR: Automata sold quite well on the PC, it’s a game that could benefit from some patches. Surprisingly enough, Square Enix dropped the ball on this one and the game still suffers from mediocre PC controls (unless of course you’re playing with a gamepad but that’s not an excuse).
But anyway, according to ESRB there is a Game of the Year Edition, called NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition, coming out soon. My guess is that this Edition will simply include the DLCs that have been released and nothing more. So no, don’t expect any PC improvements or tweaks.

Rumor: Diablo 4 takes after Diablo 2, but a cancelled version looked like Dark Souls
https://www.pcgamer.com/rumor-diablo-4-takes-after-diablo-2-but-a-cancelled-version-looked-like-dark-souls/
An in-depth Kotaku report on the state of things at Blizzard, and in particular the next Diablo game, has revealed a few very interesting, if unconfirmed, surprises, including that the studio had been working on a version of Diablo 4 that was similar in many ways to Dark Souls. Codenamed Hades, the game was being developed as a hardcore dungeon crawler with an over-the-shoulder view instead of Diablo's traditional isometric perspective.

When Blizzard first announced that Diablo 3 would be coming to the Nintendo Switch, redditor Zein had a really funny idea. He went on GoDaddy and bought the URL "playdiablo4.com" and then made it redirect to Path of Exile's website—Diablo 3's biggest competitor. After Blizzard outraged fans earlier this November with the announcement of Diablo Immortal, Zein's little joke went viral. But now he's asking people to stop bashing the developer.

The top gunners on Battlefield 5 tanks have a hell of a gun under their control, and play an important role as they deal with any infantry that gets close to harass the tank with explosives. They also die a lot, because they're sitting on top of a large tank with a big gun, making a lot of noise and not doing what they should arguably be doing most of the time: ducking.
