Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo defends rapid release of new Mario games

As long as they are fun I do not have a problem. I personally loved NSMB2 and 3D Land on my 3DS and was happy they made them. When I get around to getting a Wii U I will get NSMBU and 3D World (along with Galaxy 3 or what ever they call it).

Mario games have consistent quality to me and the plat former genre is not saturated in this era at all.

Around the Network

Before Mario comes out for a Nintendo platform, half of people are asking, "That's a nice console, but where's the Mario?"

After it comes out, the other half complain, "OMG another Mario game?!"

So it doesn't really matter what Nintendo does here, they still end up with a bunch of whiny bitches.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event."  — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

"You could theoretically make a whole new game with those kind of gameplay dynamics."

Then why don't you? This doesn't warrant a major new release. Would be fine as a budget eShop Mario spinoff.

He could've at least pointed to the multiplayer. :/
