I wouldn't accuse them of milking, but really? "innovation"? NSMB DS, Wii, U and 3D Land / World are basically the exact same games.

you obviously haven't played all of those games then

And IMO, after playing and finishing the WiiU one, it has less creativity, less power-ups and bad level design if you compare it to Super Mario World on SNES.

Nintendo has taken their brand in the wrong direction for me, and I have lost interest in them since the beginning of the Wii. I will however admit that Galaxy was an excellent game. One of my all time favourites!

I hope they realease a full new 3D Mario game for WiiU that is a totally new concept (or at least new for the Mario series) in 2015, because that year is the 30th anniversary of Mario and that would be a great way to celebrate it and after that they should let Mario rest.

More like feeling pressure of making mario games in order to boost some sales.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

Wow transparent pipes, don't break a nail Nintendo. I've seen more innovative stuff happen in annual CoD releases. Those dogs aren't going to scan themselves.

They definitely milk the name Mario, but the series are different.

Lol. No one complained about two Mario Galaxy games in a generation. Seven call of duties is a bit much though.

People buy it. They don't care. They'll buy whatever Nintendo releases, thus Nintendo slows the release of high quality new IPs and just release remakes over and over. It makes them money. It would be fine if they were just a software company, but because they want to own the platform, it becomes a negative.

Mario sells tons and it's not story intensive so really... they SHOULD make as many as possible. Quite honestly back when i was younger and liked Mario games I was pissed off that Nintendo didn't make as many as they could.

I'd of killed for an N64 2d mario. Or Mario 642

Mario 64 2 for the WiiU would be epic, even it it isn't something completely new (I think it would use the gamepad for some things like finding hidden portals).

Of course those are only my dreams...
