I wouldnt go with the windows phone. Something about the OS that just lacks fun :O

Not sure how to explain it, i mean it's a solid OS and all but i was thoroughly underwhelmed by the lumia 900. The 920 might be better but the OS is still the same.

I guess that would leave the iPhone and S4. And at this point in time i think Android has the advantage. Apple are only starting to implement features that have been in android for a long time now...this wasnt always the case. The S4 is a really solid phone and the best android phone on the market.

I personally went for the HTC One...great phone. But I think if you looking for a well balanced all round great phone go with the S4. The HTC One and other android top end phones all have certain quirks that you may or may not like.

HTC One and Galaxy S4 are the best phones out there in my opinion.

Agree!

Dont forget the Xperia Z...a lot of reviewers bash the phone for it's washed out screen colours and shitty viewing angles but doing a first hand comparison between the Z and the HTC One i can confidently say that the Z has the sharpest clearest screen i have ever seen on a smartphone.

I'd recommend the S4 out of those options as the better phone. I prefer Android over iOS, the S4 is more powerful, has a better camera, and an SD card slot.

As other have mentioned, the Xperia Z is an excellent phone if you can find one. On top of being an Android it has a great camera. waterproof, and a better or equal screen to the S4. Xperia also have access to the PlayStation Mobile app so you get those small indie mobile games that you'd need a Vita for otherwise. If you can find an Xperia ZR it has a shutter which allows for underwater picture and video recording. There is also the Xperia Z Ultra if you want a 6.4" screened giant phone.

The S4 active is out too if you can find it. That's also waterproof.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

i love my galaxy s 3 phone, i just dont qualify for an upgrade yet. but i would get an s4 for sure if i could.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa.

I'll consider that one a lot now.

Yeah, the active is like Sony's Xperia Z phones. It uses a sprayed on microfilm that makes it waterproof and rated at a certain depth for a certain time. Just need to make sure the ports are all closed. No need to buy an expensive Lifeproof case or bulky Armor Otterbox.

As far as I know, the ZR is the only one that does underwater video because touchscreens are unusable under water.

Oh and side note, the Xperia Z Ultra can use regular graphite pencils as a stylus. Not sure if that's special, but first I've heard of it.

You can't go wrong with an android phone.

YOu can pretty much customise it to be like any phone out there. Hell there are android phones that are set up like iOS7 before it's even released for iPhones.

Expandable memory and replaceable batteries are big bonuses too.

I have a 16gig Note 2 with a 64gig micro SD card that holds all my music, a heap of HD movies and TV shows and all my photos.

iOS is very restrictive and Windows phones just don't have the app support at the moment.

Can't make a direct comparison with the newest iPhone, but my girlfriend got an HTC One, I got myself an Xperia Arc S and my brother and my mother got themselves two Galaxy S2 a few years ago and they are all miles better than the iPhone 4 (which my girlfriend use to have prior).

HTC support is not as good as Samsung so I'd go with S4 personally, I used to use an iPhone in the past when it was the best but since I have 0 brand loyalty I switched once Apple decided that it's okay to bloat up the OS to fuck the old users to try to force an upgrade on it's user base all the fucking time while Android improved itself and surpassed it overtime. Like somebody else mentioned, check out the S4 active for sure.

You can download music for free on an andorid phone straight into your music player. You cannot do this on an iphone. That is my numer 1 reason.
