Overall ... My top 3 in no specific order are Halo 4, The Last of Us and Skyrim

First of all there are a lot of people excited about Xbox One so we don't need underhanded bashing about it in every new thread by Sony fans. Now to answer your question:

1. Red Dead Redemption - best overall game and open world game
2. Gears of War 1 - favorite online experience this gen
3. Castlevania : Lords of Shadow - favorite hack n slash
4. Uncharted 2 - best game of the series and best adventure game
5. The Last of Us - great game
6. COD: MW2
7. God of War 3

Red Dead is definitely my favorite game this gen but after that there is no particular order of favorites.

Go ahead and add Halo 4 on my list. The single player was pretty epic, but the multiplayer didn't quite knock it out of the park but I was pretty much done with this gen by the time is released. The Last of Us and Halo 4 are the only console games I've played in the past year. Been playing PC waiting for the new gen.

gonna have to give it to mass effect 2/3

Super Mario Galaxy the gameplay blew me away at the time. Not to mention the graphics.

Best RPG should be reserved for Persona 5.

I kinda don't consider Twilight Princess a current gen game. Yes, it was amazing.

I also played it on the gamecube.
