Sony's ticking all the right boxes this gen. Gotta wonder what shoutdowns happened behind closed doors during last gen.

Mark Cerny happened for the PS4. That's what happened.

I hope we see a new console this gen that can recapture the PS2 glory days. Rich experiences, some creative risks - the indie front seems to be in form for it -, a minimum ammount of drama and a focus on gaming being fun once again. We need a console that can define a generation of new gamers that are coming up now, something to give them nostalgia later on, something they'll remember fondly . A new Mario, a new Sonic, a new Crash Bandicoot or heck...anything that people can remember fondly - I'm not saying new games in those series -.

Hey, remember when all Sony had to do was THINK about doing something and 2 seconds later it was leaked? How things change.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Video/voice recognition was never a integral part of PS4 when it was anounced in February so I'm sure they were already leaning towards cutting it out regardless of Kinect.

it was kinda obvious they did this to under cut MS, smart move though because I know I hardly would've used the camera to begin with, let people who want it buy it on their own accord.

The only smart thing to do, early adopters dont give a crap about camera based games.

I think there's that on every single console released so far.

It's just that people have a tendancy to be nostalgic. As you get older, you don't get excited nearly as much at the things you experience. Things start feeling more of the same. Not as fresh as they once were. It's like that with most things in life. Heck, it's like that with the people you meet as well.

When you're younger, you still dream quite a lot, you still have quite a bit of naivety...

I know a lot of people will remember the good old days of Lost Odyssey, Bioshock, Gears of War, Uncharted, etc...

Just the same as people remember FF VII as the best in the series and the PSX as their favourite gen ever... I preferred FF VI by quite a margin, but I can still say that all the generations I've gone through and all the consoles I've owned offered me some really quality gaming experiences that I'm sure I'll remember for years to come...

Makes no sense because Sony sells the PSEye at $60... the manufacture cost should be $20-30.

Sony have advantage in price even if they bundle two PSEye in the console.

Bullshit article.

So does this mean that during split screen games it no longer switches with the controller now since it has no way of knowing where it is

So Sony was gonna charge an extra $100 for a camera that they're now going to sell separately for $60....an extra $40 profit? lol

Smart move on Sony and feel that MS should've done the same, or at least have 2 bundles, one with Kinect and then one without. But unfortunately, everything for Xbone requires the Kinect so that's not possible....yet.

Kudos to Sony for opting out of the extra $40 potential profit.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Capitalism. profit. Just be lucky Sony didn't adopt it.
