Forums - Gaming Discussion - Did MSFT "killed" Sony like they said they would

We will know better in 2014 when sales data shows who "won".

They won in terms of games but certainly didn't kill anyone especially with that price.
However, Sony was worse than them, and the only good thing from their conference was the PS4 price.

Um.......

- Kingdom Hearts III?

- Final Fantasy XV?

.....among plenty others.

I get having a preference, but don't let it cloud your better judgment.

- Multiplat

- Multiplat

That's the main problem with both conferences. They showed multiplats like they were exclusives. Same reason I don't really count Metal Gear Solid V or Dark Souls 2 as an integral part of Microsoft E3.

So what? He said "the only good thing". Those games were part of the conference. Both MS and Sony also showed plenty of exclusives.

Ah, right. Didn't read his message, I just replied to yours.

Which is why it's best to get the full story before you widly quote. ;)

Joooo... T_T sorry.

They don't Sony as serious competition. They are more worried about Steam, Google and Apple.

Sony is killing Sony because it keeps losing so much money. Most of the money they made from business was from Insurance, not electronics or games.

Hopefully, Sony can survive so we have more game competition and opportunities.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

I don't think ms killed anything.

In terms of games announced, yes they did.

Not really. It's not like the world wis only talking about what games Microsoft showed and Sony's are ignored. The whole idea that MS "killed" Sony with games, in fact, is a stark fallacy. Neither killed each other in that regard, even if I think Microsoft's show had a higher quantity of unknown titles (which they did). But, as I've also heard Xbox fans say, it's not the quantity , but the quality, right?

Well we don't know the metas as they aren't out yet, so this can only be judged on quantity of games showed. And in that regard, MS did what they said.

$499 - crickets
$399 - Massive applause, cheering, shouting.

Says it all really.

Bit I thought MS "never said that." Can't have it both ways. Besides, you'd have to be pretty, heavily, invested in nonsense chatter to think MS killed Sony in regards to games. It simply did not happen.

I don't care what who said, just going by the OP. And in the end, this is a subjective thing. Preference. Personal opinion. Your stance implies there can't be a opposite opinion to yours. Does not compute. Im sorry but thats just what I feel given the games showed (only looking at X1 and PS4 games)
