need I remind you of the blatant offensive pass interference by Toomer on the Eli bomb where he literally shoved the patriot defender in the chin in order to gain separation to make the great sideline catch that led to a score on a 3rd down. That happened right in front of the Ref as well with no call.

they are not showing the whole clip. I watched it live and replayed at my house with DVR and there clearly was a guy bear hugging the defender and pulling him. Did you watch the game, or just clips?

No, I saw the whole game, and I do have to say that there was a blown call on the Toomer play.

Like Madden said the referees could call holding in almost every play if they want. So it's often a judgment call (the same with PI) and a good reason why it can't be challenged.

One thing that suprised me was the challenge of 12 men on the field. I thought you couldn't throw a challenge to review a play to CAUSE a penalty that wasn't called.

You know I was thinking the exact same thing. It would be the same as challenging after the play if someone was offsides or the clock ran down that wasn't called. I was wondering if someone  had changed the rules.

They tend to change the challenge rule every season, its sometimes hard to follow from year to year.

This was one of the most exciting endings in SuperBowl history! This was a great play for sure. I am a Washington Redskin fan and was rooting for the G-Men to pull off the upset. It was definitely one of the biggest upsets in NFL history - top 5.
