Forums - Website Topics - That's it I'm gone...

This is a reason I'm going.

Discussion of topics around gaming for me doesn't revolve around a positive/negative. It's a factual thing, what's positive or negative about a business? It is what it is. It's not measured in positives or negatives for me - just interesting points, or non interesting irrelevant points.

Anyways I'll leave it at that, maybe this is a good example of misinterpretation I'm talking about.

I'm not trying to sound superior in any way but positives/negatives are merely interpretations. Facts are facts.

Well said. This is why I've always found you to be one of the more interesting posters here (at least under this account!). I don't know if you'll see this, but I'll miss you!

Same here. There was a thread about Microsoft trying to explain their share policies (before they took everything back). Users were arguing about how does it really work, because the official explanation wasn't very accurate.

Then I posted something like: "They are clearly saying: buy a PS4". Is this ban-worthy?

Honestly I think sometimes the mods would be ashamed of explaining some bans to real people who aren't on this site...But this is the internetz right? Anonymity has clearly some pros and cons.

Yes, it's flame-bait. They obviously didn't say that... So yes. It is ban worthy. Especially if you're a repeat offender. There is an official explanation that is accurate too. Whether you've looked it up/read it when it was posted is another story.

Would you be offended if a RL friend of yours would say that in the same situation? People usually lose the respect to the others behind an anonymous mask on the internet and say things they wouldn't dare to say to a real person. But here it's just the opposite. We're not allowed to talk in a way that normal people wouldn't be offended in real life. This is kinda sad.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Then just go.

I just got banned for just poking a little fun:

"You are receiving this message for violation of forum rules regarding Flaming (A weak insult, but it really doesn't add anything to the discussion. ) [Post Reference] Please review the forum rules here to avoid future moderation action. Banned: 3 days"

And you don't see me crying. Whoop-dee-doo.

Yes. Under those circumstances that line clearly pissed off the people frequenting the Microsoft forums and had no other purpose than that (and to ammuse the anti-MS fraction ofcourse), which is something that from my experience isn't tolerated here.

Respect? I owe people on here some measure of respect as I do people I've only just met. I've had friends who are ill informed and made similar comments, I don't mind because... It's real life and they're my friend. You're trying to compare 2 very different things here. Anonymity possibly caused you to type that statement. Especially so if you wouldn't find it offensive in real life but it could be taken so here... Hence the flame-bait.

I always thought you were one of the best Xbox fans on this site. You are willing to listen and change your mind. You will be missed. Awaiting your come back.

Hard to recognize you without the avatar. I believe you were the guy on a boat or something? I remember you more now that Lurker reminded me that you were pro Microsoft. Hope things go better for you than Windows phone sales!

Just eat the moderation, man.

It's entirely arbitrary anyway. Even when I brought this up, they just ignore it completely.

When you're ruled by a few who report to no one, there is 0 accountability.

This website is moderated similarly to preschools. Billy said you have cooties? BAN! 14 days.
