Oh, demon souls. The only bosses that pissed me off were Flame lurker, the 2 gargoyle boss, and the fake king boss because I didn't know HE WOULD STEAL MY SOUL LEVEL. What kind of a dick boss just steals all the time you did in leveling up and doesn't give it up.

Why not both?

Good point.  Even if you're a melee character you could have a fire spell as magic when you can't attack them with physical.

really!? he was pretty easy to me..all you really had to do was cast that "water viel" spell and with a good enough defence you were pratically invincible

Yea, well I had long battles with the Flamelurker, but I didn't feel he was that "hard" either. Maneater posed more of problem to me, especially on NG+/++.

tell me about it!!! now that was a hard boss!!!

I didn't know the water viel thing.  Never thought about using it honestly.  But obviously we have our differences in what we think is a hard boss.  I pointed out that Maneater was an easy boss in the same post.  Just use turpentine if you're a melee character or fire magic as a magic user.

it was me being a melee fighter that made the fight difficult; that along with the roar blast and the thin land strip  I would  continually get knocked of the map, talk about infuriating!!!

In Demon's Souls I was a combo character...in Dark Souls I was a fully accomplished Pyromancer Swordsman. I just find that it's really rewarding to always have a spell or two to fall back on when you're in deep crap in these games, it may tip the odds in your favor quite easily or net you some rare drop if an enemy is trying to escape you.

I feel a bit bad for the OP...he's yet to suffer the Valley. I want to see his reactions when he steps in that bog for the first time.
