Ah i miss those days XD

After finishing the game and replaying on the harder new game plus, once I got to this area and killed the boss.  I actually died on purpose immediately after and then used the black stone repeatedly so I could fight other players.  The PvP mode on this game was amazing.

My least favorite people to face in PvP are the ones that camp with two other people at the entrance waiting for black phantoms to attack(usually at 1-4.)  The reason I dislike this group of people is the living player won't fight.  He'll defend and stay away, if you kill any of his allies, a short while later he'll summon the exact same ally.  I killed eight blue phantoms before dying one time.  Later on I started using plague cloud against the people who did this.

Go to 4-1 for levelling. There is also a katana there that you might want to over-use in early game.

And take a blunt weapon to kill the ninja skeletons

Edit : Falchion, not katana. Been a year since I last played ^^'

i actually became a boss by accident. XD

Anyways there's a good place to farm dark phantoms in Dark Souls. In the land of the ashes you and your team just wait on the very enterence and then gangbang that bastard who thinks he can steal everybodies souls. I gain like about 2mil souls

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Plague is a think, the spear that destroys durability is cool too, if you want to be a douchebag (I received so many mails doing this, and there were not nice most of the time)

Flamelurker is the hardest boss to kill one on one. If you can't do it, I'd recommend that you just skip over and do 3-1, 3-2, and 3-3. The stages are easy.  In 3-1 the black leather armor set is some very good light armor.  Not the best but probably the best you'll have for awhile.

Here are some tips on the stages for the third area.

-When you fight the Cthulu enemies, roll past their spells, then let them run up to you and ring the bell and then roll away so you don't get hit by the attack. Then either melee them two handed or use magic if you're a spellcaster.

-Use your shield on 3-2.  The enemies where you can fall off the edge really aren't difficult.

-Use turpentine on your weapon or fire magic to make quick work of the 3-2 boss.

-Pray that you don't get a human player for the 3-3 boss if you're not very good.

*edit*

Didn't think of this until now.  On the 3-3 boss.  Just sign out of PSN.  A black phantom can't join your game if you're not online.

really!? he was pretty easy to me..all you really had to do was cast that "water viel" spell and with a good enough defence you were pratically invincible

Yea, well I had long battles with the Flamelurker, but I didn't feel he was that "hard" either. Maneater posed more of problem to me, especially on NG+/++.

I didn't know the water viel thing.  Never thought about using it honestly.  But obviously we have our differences in what we think is a hard boss.  I pointed out that Maneater was an easy boss in the same post.  Just use turpentine if you're a melee character or fire magic as a magic user.

Maneater is actually one of the easier bosses if you to him prepared to burn his ass to the ground. With a decent flame weapon, +5 or so, he's a push over. With Flame Pillar he's even more of a pushover, especially if you can get both of them in the AoE effect.

Why not both?
