Updated the OP with a bit more info from Siliconera. 4k yen; September release.

I'd forgotten the game was pay-to-play. That's certainly gonna hurt its chances on the PC market I would've thought.

Maybe I'm late but... We're not getting Dragon Quest X. It just isn't going to happen. It's probably the best thing that ever happened to MMOs but it wont' happen. I hate MMOs anyway. If Dragon Quest XI is announced for Wii U or 3DS I'll be happy.

Great news. No reason for them to not release this on PS3/PS4 also too though. FFXIV is going there, might as well add DQX.

Sometimes I just don't understand Square-Enix...

I know people will say I'm a fanboy but the fact today is that the JRPG public is on PS3... so if a company want to make money and the game will be release for another plataform then you have to release in the better plataform in terms of sales.

But Square don't... they are terrible with that.

That's like saying people should put 3D platformers on other consoles because obviously the audience is on Nintendo platforms.

Portal if that counts as a platformer. (Or if you mean new ones that we know of cause then no)

Yeah... LPB sold like Mario... perfectly example... that's my point... the difference is LPB is first-party, Dragon Quest not.
