anyway the poll speaks for itself 60% think those games can run on current gen consoles.

35%.

maybe one of the consoles can, and maybe both can are included in my estimate.

Mario Kart 8 - Yes. It looks good, but there are plenty of racing games on 360/PS3 that are just as technically sound, if not better.

Bayonetta 2 - Maybe, but some corners might have to be cut to have a stable 60 fps.

X - Maybe, but this game probably benefits the most from Wii U RAM advantage. It could probably look about the same on 360 and PS3, but with reduced draw distance, which is its biggest technical advantage over most open-world games out there.

So you include those who believe at least one of those games CANNOT RUN ON PS3/360.

360 version does and also based on impressions banoyetta 2 doesnt hold 60fps on wiiu as well.

No it didn't..... both the 360 and PS3 versions dropped as far as to 30FPS at certain points..... sigh..... 60FPS Bayo2 is Platinum's target and they are already almost there though, not to mention that if they couldn't get PS360 to run MGS:R at consistent 60FPS, there is noway in hell PS360 can run Bayo2 at the same level as Wii U just by looking at the E3 demo. It's really simple logic.

i'm sorry i didn;t read the digital foundry anyalisis of bayonetta 2, i heard impressions from neogaf that it the frame rate dips often.

It's most likely that their stream engine isn't perfected yet, random dips usually come from loading and that needs to be tasked correctly. Game comes out in 2014 so they have plenty of time to fix their engine on a new hardware.

Let's be honest here, Metal Gear Solid V looks ten times nicer than any game shown for any console, next-gen or otherwise

I do not agree. MGS5 looks great, but I'd put games like X, Uncharted 2/3, The Last of Us, and God of War Ascension above it visually.

Im a huge Sony fanboy, but lets face it MGSV is better looking than any current gen game out there (maybe only challanged by Watch Dogs) The level of detail in an open world, the characters, animations, faces its all top notch.

Again, I don't agree.

Well mk8 and bayo(though 60fps is nice, not sure on this one at 60) don't really look all that impressive, so prob. Though x looks really good and it's open world, So the ps3/360 version would prob be scale down, so no.

Damn, wasn't that the trailer for the next gen version though?

If you know how powerful the WiiU actually is, the simple answer is yes. All of those games can run on the PS3. 360 is a little harder, but still yes.

As I expected, this was a fun read.

Then again I don't know crap about tech.

I don't think you know how powerful WiiU is, unless you meant that in an abstract way.
