Forums - Sony Discussion - Beyond: Two Souls - Unfocused, Controller Trouble - IGN Conversation

I am not worried, I am sure the game will be hated like Heavy Rain, but I am sure it will be amazing. Also, these IGN dudes are adorable, but they are pretty much casual gamers, htey like, their Call of duty and Halo and that is it. The rest of the stuff they cover only with a professional level of interest.
Of course, this describes 90% of american game journalism.
Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain were amazing, and everybody hated them, even good game reviewers like Jontron and Noah Antwiler hated them, BUT THEY WERE GREAT.
Quantic Dream will always be hated by the Call of Duty crowd, and that is the way I liked. Beyond comes out at my birthday, august 10, and I am going to pre-order as soon as it is possible here in Brazil.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Not surprising, its Quantic Dream, they make crappy interactive movies with awful controls.

You should play them before saying they suck.  Neither Indigo Prophecy nor Heavy Rain have awful controls.  Both games wouldn't receive such high ratings across the board if they were crappy interactive movies.  While they have less gameplay than found in most games, both of the games have great storylines and the gameplay elements in both are enjoyable.  Heavy Rain in particular has a better storyline than 99% of the movies released in the past 10 years, and the length of it is five to ten times as long as well(depending on movie length.)

I played heavy rain. It gets solid ratings because it has a good story and it was innovative. Reviewers give brownie points just for not being a military fps. However, the game does have crappy controls imo and even most people that praise the game would tell you the controls are crappy.

And that line about heavy rain having a better storyline than 99% of movies is pretty bold. You must be watching some pretty crappy movies because heavy rain's storyline was only good for a video game. If it were a movie it would be mediocre at best.

I listened to the first minute of that and all I thought was 'What whiny bitches.' Not every game has to be 'your' traditional controls. And 'the game is not what I thought it was going to be about'? What did he expect, a generic 3rdPS?

Hmm, pie.
