My pleasure i would gladly add you. both smart phones and windows 8 so if you install the app on windows 8 phones you only see the middle part but if you install it on windows 8 pcs you see the middle  part with color around it.

this is a simple app, so on the first page you would see all the titles for news and if you tap any of them you see the datail about that news. also you can go here http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/app/top-gaming-new/26be00f2-1873-4849-991c-5084894ba0cc and see the two screenshots that i took from the app.

i want the logo to be something about game that as soon as someone sees it they know this app should be about gaming (such as a controller, mario, obiviously we can't use mario :) ) what do you think?

Ok I will work on some ideas for a logo. I think its better to not use a character but I'll think of something. I"ll get a hole of you when I get some logo ideas done. When do you need this by? I'm working on my portfolio for internships and jobs so I probably won't be able to start on your logo for a couple weeks.

I'd keep the graphics and formating style very minimalistic. Simple design is key...More feeds would be the next step. Possible categories for consoles as well.

Sorry, I would love to help but I don't have Windows 8 yet :/ . From the pictures the app looks pretty good and clear and simple. I'll be happy to give my opinion about other things when you or tuscaniman99 make them.

I am not in hurry, so whenever you have free time it is fine with me. so yeah work on your portfolio and we can talk after. In meantime i can think more about the logo and see if i can come up with something unique and interesting.

Yeah i agree simple design is my approach and adding more categories and search are in my list of features that i wanna add.

You're going to have to give it more than two hours a week if you want to create good apps. Start with the basics, a good methodology first and foremost. Brainstorm for ideas, then check if they already exist. Don't waste time on a useless logo.
