Forums - Gaming Discussion - Microsoft lost another war against Sony after HD DVD fiasco

Ms may have back tracked but supporting them now is no different than yesterday. Them cancelling some things only means they plan to ease it on u ovrr time. rather than at once.

The answer is NO we can´t trust Microsoft but neither can we trust Sony.

Both companies would gladly fuck us in the ass and not even pay for dinner. Those are huge corporations and not our friends and the only reason that Sony is changing their course so drasticly is to stay competitive. Do you really think Sony hasn´t discussed the very sam policies until Microsoft has suffered such a huge backlash. Don´t be naive kids

Some companies gain consumer trust and some not because of their actions.

But Microsoft has listened to the "fans", so did they gain your trust? Don´t forget 8 years back Sony was the cockiest Hardware manufacturer of them. A representative literaly said "go and get a second job to afford the PS3". And the reason why they are doing all of that stuff now is because they are desperate, they don´t have the financial power they had 8 years ago. So now they are pretedning to be our friends. Maybe some of them really care, but at the end of the day they are company and they have make as much money as possible

You will have to improve your grammar before you get a response out of me regarding the threads subject matter.

just like how sony allowed Linux but then took it away?

because you were using linux. They took it away because nobody wanted it. That makes sense. Who bought a ps3 for linux???

obvisouly it was being used by alot of people since sony got hacked shortly after

That's nothing but an assumption. For all we know it might have been people who never owned a ps3 and just felt that they needed to protect consumer rights (I bet they believed they did). Do we have any proof that they were ps3 owners? Do we have any numbers on people who installed Linux on their ps3s?

Yeahhh.... funny.... yet they won the "pay for online" war.

Ex Graphics Whore.

edit...nevermind.

Well we cant trust Microsoft but we cant trust sony. Get ALife both are companys and there main Goal is making Money. If the DRM Fiasko wasnt that big with Microsoft you can surly bet that sony will have it too.

Can you trust Sony, who have a vested interest on keeping media on BluRay, and will trump up any kind of move to cloud based media as bad, even if it's on their competitor's platform?

The heck are you on about. Gaikai is cloud based media. And will be available on the PS4.
