They can keep their jobs... We want their first-born sons.

No one.

It was a purposed idea that would have been very profitable for MS. They took a risk and then realized that it was definitely going to fail. Now they've made a good choice and changed ways.

It won't hurt them in the long run.

This.

It was based on a sound business model that tried to maximize profits. No one should be fired for trying to maximize profits and taking risks.

America is to blame, not anybody at Microsoft.

I mean, their entire CULTURE is set up that way. Money takes precedence over the consumer, it takes precedence over life itself. The only reason MS changed their policy with the XBO was that it was clear that they wouldn't make their money back on system development costs if things continued the way they were going.

I'd argue gamers in general are to blame...all of them. Pro and against the digital vision Microsoft wanted to persue.

This new method microsoft was implementing works really well for people that are trying to fit gaming into their lives when they can, instead of building their lives around it. We just weren't heard over all the hardcore gamer and media bashing and noise. So we are all to blame...

I am lost, which mess are you talking about?

No one is going yo get fired. Sony will return the real Don Mattrick "brainwashed" and will not remember his abduction. Phil Spencer will lay low for awhile, so MS won't notice he's a Sony spy (that has been cross dressing as Mattrick all this time) and the one feeding them this almost disastrous strategy in the first place. :3

They knew it was anti-consumer. Microsoft was just humbled by the fact that they cant tell their consumers what is the future or what they will like. The consumers can decide that for themselves. MS didnt need to screw with the used market and DRM lock their console, they chose to so the third parties wouldnt have to. Luckily this was a software issue and the preorders scared the shit out of them into backing down from DRM.

None of this was Dons idea so.....not him

Microsoft has an issue. They need to hire PR people to do these things.

They absolutely suck at telling a story in their current state of executives that touch base with the media... People don't know the full story here, they just know DRM, always on, 24 hour checks. And then they scream things like anti consumer tactics!!!...
