So the main issue with the console was the price, its just too high for my taste. The ps4 is essentially the same/more powerful yet it's cheaper. So with ms, doing a u turn on their policies(Hell ya!) Do you think there will be a change in price at launch? Since kinect is required, is this even likely to happen?

not with kinect bundled with it. However, I wouldn't rule out a subsidized option being announced after the holidays when supply catches up to demand.

Unlikely. From what I understand Kinect is still mandatory for the console to work.

Not without subsidizing the console's price. Perhaps the subsidy they used on the 360 didn't work, which is why they didn't employ it on the one. Sony tends to be the only company that would take a financial hit to make a console more affordable to their consumers.

I would say probably not. They might (big might) buckle and give a $450 version with a 150 GB HD now that games don't need to be installed.

Maybe $450 at a best case scenario. But it could just be massive bundling to prove value for that difference in price.
