I guess they had enough of all the middle fingers posted on their pages.

What I get from this:

EA reinstating online pass confirmed!

EA: YOU'LL PAY! YOU'LL ALL PAY...FOR ONLINE PASSES! (evil laugh)

My guess is $399.99 XBox One will be the next thing they cave on. To be honest I think some gamers made too much of a stink.

Being able to share games like they were proposing with any 10 friends >>>>> buying a crappy scratched disc copy from Gamestop.

X1 uses Blu-ray discs so crappy scratched discs are a think of the past.

I see nothing about the 24 hour check in, used games, or the biggest issue, kinect always on.

In fact, this just confirms my issues with Kinect, always listening......

It's been confirmed long ago that you can turn off Kinect in the Xbox One settings.

Ah I found the article

http://kotaku.com/xbox-one-kinect-privacy-concerns-turn-it-off-511759241

Yea, but this isn't enough for me. You can turn it off when the system is off, but only "pause" it when the system is on. You can't physically unplug the system.

Plus, after Microsofts involvement with the PRISM scandal, I want to unplug it. The two off settings are off, but listen for XBOX ON, and completly off. If one off setting still listens for a key phrase, then I don't trust that the system is completly off.

---

Still, this is just be crazy talking. I'll get a One, way way down the road, as a 3rd console, when the gen is ending, and I can get a system for $200. I'll just be a wacko and unplug the system when I don't use it.

It's nice to see that Microsoft listened though, yay to the gamers, now I can own Forza 5,6,7,8 and not worry about it not working when MS shuts down their servers.

Nintendo is part of the next generation, so I guess in the same place as it is now?

So, just like that everything is forgiven? what a joke people are, no wonder why these companies think masses are idiot.

any information about game sharing? i would really hate if we lose that now.

Well you can do it the old fashioned way now by actually letting your friends borrow your physical games.

sure, but you know where all my friends and family live? since we are all over 25 now (my brothers even over 40), we pretty much all live in different cities. but it was not really for me, more for the guys who would be in my list since i always buy a lot of games and they could all participate in that.

But didn´t they just fuck EA over? I have read an article where they said EA Ubisoft and several other major publishers where pushing those policies. And MS enabled them with those restirctions. I am really courious to see how they are going to react now.

What is EA, Ubi, etc. going to say?

"Screw you for listening to the consumer!"

It was lose/lose for MS and third parties up front.

MS listened to the investors and fans.

Maybe more incentives for 3rd parties to come up with their own forms of DRM.

Nintendo and PC gamer

Ha ha what are EA gonna think about this? i look forward to Fifa 15 etc on my Wii U.

Making tons of money. You know what their policy on used games is?

"Make games people don't want to sell" - Miyamoto

Nintendo software always sells exceptionally well, Wii and DS saw dozens of games to sell over 20 million units, nothing MS or Sony makes comes close to that,
