Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One headset revealed

GameSpot

Microsoft has revealed the chat headset for Xbox One.

The new headset is similar in appearance to the existing product for Xbox 360. It is wired to the controller and is designed for "long gaming sessions and clear voice chat," Microsoft said.

The mono chat headset sports wideband digital audio and a unidirectional microphone. In addition, players will be able to access mute and volume controls without taking their hands off the controller.

Microsoft has also revealed a new play and charge kit for the Xbox One controller. It packs in a "long-lasting" rechargeable battery that Microsoft said can be juiced up fully in under four hours. Recharging can be done during gameplay or when the Xbox One is in standby mode.

I think the ear piece is the headphone itself. Kinda of like the headsets that let you answer the phone on them. Atleast I thinks so.

The PS headset needs a earhook. The Xbox's looks more stable.

Go Team Venture! I still don't get the Wii, PS Move,  and Kinect.

The square piece, in series with the wire, has a mic hole

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

the mic is in the dongle for the sound and stuff.... from past experience I'd much rather have a headset while gaming than earphone.... either way I have a turtle beach headphones for the XB1 and if I want I have klipsch earpieces with a mic if I want the other one.... and with Kinect mic and 575 watt output on my 5.1 I'm pretty set up on all fronts.... just need to get a new TV some time next year if 3d is getting traction.... damn I spend way too much money on my entertainment set up lol.... my banker hates me lol
