Super Mario 3D World- Between 7 million and 10 million- It will outsell Mario Sunshine because let's face it. At the time Mario Sunshine was hated by people because it didn't feel like a true 3D Mario. This one may be getting some hate from people, but it will outsell Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy 2. It has the same kind of appeal Mario 3D Land had but WITH CATS! Nintendo will use cats as a selling point for this game. No doubt. Expect a cat holding a Wii U GamePad playing the game ALA The Cats playing Pokemon. People would buy that stuff in a heartbeat.
Mario Kart 8- Between 9 million and 13 million- It will outsell Double Dash and maybe Mario Kart 64. It won't sadly reach mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 7 even though it looks like the better game. They should bring that crazy dude who appeared in the mario Kart Wii ads. Remember the cowboy? Yeah. Bundle that game with the Wii U and it MAY reach 20 million.
Super Smash Bros 4-Between 7 million and 10 million- Pretty much the same as Mario 3D World. Sunshine and Melee had similar sales. Galaxy and Brawl had similar sales. I expect the same with this one. Bring back the Smash Bros 64 ads. They were frickin funny as heck. This game has potential to be the online monster that the Wii U needs.
Zelda U-Between 5 million and 7 million- Let's face it. The thought of a new Zelda in HD with a different art style is more than enough for a lot of hardcore fans. Aonuma said that they are rethinking the conventions of Zelda and making Zelda U less linear. A huge complaint about the recent Zelda games was that they were linear. If Ninty fixes that, expect Zelda U in HD to sell a lot.
Sonic Lost World-Between 1.5 million and 3.5 million- If you look at the thread I made about how Lost World has so many references to the older games like the Peel Out Move from Sonic CD, an user said that Sega is treating this game like Sonic 1 and Sonic Adventure. Meaning that it should get a huge marketing boost. Maybe a TV series? Let's not forget that Ninty is publishing the game in Europe ( where I am) so expect the game to sell like hot cakes in Europe. Ninty should focus on Japan because Sonic games are not relevant there. Just saying. The last Sonic game that got past 100,000 in Japan was Sonic Adventure 2. That was 12 years ago.
X/ Xenoblade 2- Between 1 million and 2.5 million- Xenoblade sold 0.8 million despite selling out in America and Europe, despite being exclusive to one retail shop in USA, despite being ZERO MARKETING for the game. NoA was hoping the game would bomb, but no. It did the best in America. They MUST push this game out there because that's common sense after seeing how well Xenoblade did. The frickin game goes up to 100$ on eBay. Getting the game here in Europe is also IMPOSSIBLE. They should push a FF7 style marketing campaign. Have Pepsi promote the game.
Bayonetta 2- Between 0.7 million and 2 million- I am skeptical about this one. I am hoping for Bayonetta 2 to sell well. Reggie once said that they want to make sure that bayonetta 2 arrives on many living rooms. I hope they deliver on that promise. They should sign a deal with someone to start an Anime series so that Bayonetta 2 gets more attention. Anime sells these days. Specially in America, Japan and Europe.
Pikmin 3- Between 1 million and 2.5 million. After putting a Pikmin mini game in Nintendo Land, I think Pikmin 3 will get a great boost that it would have never existed without Nintendo Land. Maybe a boost of 0.5-1 million. I am being optimistic though. Maybe start a Pikmin cartoon series. Miyamoto was thinking of airing Pikmin 3 shorts on 3DS. That's a great start, but not enough.
The Wonderful 101- Between 0.5 million and 1.5 million. This game has potential to be a million seller. Trust me. Nintendo simply needs to push this game up there. It looks fun as heck. This would sell millions just because of how frickin insane it is. Imagine if a lot of people find about this game. I've seen people on the Internet wondering what the fuck is Wonderful 101 as in what kind of game it is. This game is just insane.
Metroid U- Between 2 million and 4 million. Just like with Zelda, the simple thought of Metroid in HD and having something different would make people go nuts. Add online and consider Metroid the potential Halo killer. Quality wise.
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze- Between 3 million and 6 million. All Ninty needs to do is market this one the same way as DKCR and the 3DS remake. It's that easy. DK it's the type of character that sells easily. He is simply the kind of character that is popular with kids. Maybe a cartoon would be great, but I think that with good ads and such, Tropical Freeze will be a commercial success.
Yoshi Yarn- Between 2 million and 4 million. The same as Tropical Freeze. Yoshi being a Mario charatcer also helps. Also the look of the game is more than enough for most kids to go nuts over this game. It's Yoshi after all.
Wind Waker HD- Between 1.5 million and 3.5 million. I saw an article saying that Ninty advertised this game in Disneyland. The art style of Wind Waker would totally appeal to kids. Not saying that WW is casual or anything, but compared to SS, WW looks really kiddy, yet unique. I doubt this would out sell the original, but at the same time there are people who haven't played the original and may wanna play something until Zelda U comes out.
Game & Wario- Between 1 million and 2.5 million. Wario being a Mario character helps and Ninty should really advertise this game as the next Nintendo Land or something since it has a lot of potential. The Kickstarter parody they did with the game was genius.
So, what do you think? Are my predictions accurate?
