Their engineers could makensuch a thing possible? What a marvel of techology that console is.

Welcome to the future. I think that only the cloud would make such a thing possible.

Now...if only we could get rid of the need for the Kinect to be connected.

I have a question with this 24 hr thing. What if I leave my xbox unplugged or turned off for weeks? what happens than? Cause i do not play console games every day and during school i don't play video games period since i live away from home.

Nothing really.
If you want to play again though, the first thing you'd have to do is connecting it to the internet.

Oh kk thanks, thats not problem at all for me at least, since i really only play games online. I do not invest in single player games unless its a RPG.

This would be an acceptable compromise, and it would put most fears about the XBOne to rest(such as games being unplayable if/when the servers go down). , I'm sure the used game thing will blow over, but this 24h check may be cutting out more customers than M$ expects.

Remember a few weeks ago when he said "we hear you" regarding the DRM? Yeah, I guess they heard you but didn't give a fuck. Major Nelson is just a PR guy, he's in no position to make or demand any changes on the Xbox One.

I won't be getting my hopes up about that but it would certainly be nice if they gave the option.

What they really should do is let you have two options. The first option is like the gaming we are used to. You can lend your disc to anyone you want or sell it to anyone you want but you won't have the ability to put it up in the cloud nor will you have the option to share the game via the family sharing plan. By doing this, whenever you play your game, you have to have the game in your disc tray and manually switch games (they still get installed to the hard drive but it's exactly like the 360 currently is).

The second option is like they currently have it but this way you can only sell to the associated retailers and you have access to the family sharing plan and no disc switching required.

I personally would go the second route no matter what because I prefer it much more but for all of the people that can't do that or don't want to, they don't have to.

I swear if this affects the instant switching of games and affects the family share thing i will personally create an army to kill every Sony fan that has felt the need to destroy the xbox one.

i absolutely will never touch a Sony product again if anything the pathetic aony cry babies have done ruins the next gen of consoles.

if i end up with a xbox that is a ps4 with actual games i will be so mad and full of rage at Sony fans and Microsoft for listening to the pathetic cries of bull sh*t.

GODDAMN just leave the xbox one alone with its family share.

arggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!

please don't let me lose my xbox one as it is.

screw Sony. I hope they go bankrupt.

edit: Wait, just read it again, is this sarcasm.

Microsoft is thinking that video game players are like the corporate customers who don't have much a choice for their productivity software.

Major Nelson has recently made some statements which show more concern. But they do not appear to be backed up by any concerete plans. And the proposed "off-line" mode may easy to implement since the use of cloud resources is such a major "selling" point of the console (especially to developers).

Oh. Thank god Microsoft appear currently to NOT be listening to Sony fans.

major nelson confirms they aren't interested in what Sony are offering.

THANK GOD.

but i swear if my xbox one ends up a ps4 instead of the amazing stuff xbox one currently does ill never buy a game console again. I don't want last gen spruced up crap.

i want what Microsoft are offering. Me and my mates love the exclusives on offer. Love the multimedia stuff. Love the controller options. And now due to family sharing everyone at work now wants one again. I have 10 people already in my family share now.

take this away from us for crappy used games and some sad people who cant download killobytes for drm every 24 hours and ill go insane.
