I emailed Gamestop about my PS4 pre-order (along with second DS4 and KZ Shadofall) and they said that unless there was a problem with the transaction my order would be sent day of release.  I've heard stories from people around the web about being guaranteed day of consoles and not recieving them but they were all actually going to the store.  Has anyone gotten screwed with an online order?

When I pre-ordered my Wii at my local FYE (which was river at oaks), I didn't get a call during the day it launched. So I went to the mall to check out what was wrong. They didn't get any wiis in stock, and they didnt know when they were going to get any so I cancelled my order.

Oh lord. This is always one of my fears. This is actually my first console pre-order that I'm buying myself. I chose Amazon for the pre-order instead of Gamestop, etc.

I ordered on Amazon right after the conference was over and I still have that order as of now but I haven't been upgraded to launch edition so until that happens I'm keeping my Gamestop one going.  I'm hoping they get more spots allocated on Amazon cause I can save $20 on shipping since I get it free on Amazon and can get it faster.

I hope you get the day one edition!  When I ordered my X1, I didn't even notice at first if it said "Day One Edition."  Luckily I must have picked the right one.
