E3 is over for this year, and we've seen quite a few new games from Nintendo that's coming to Wii U this year. Unfortunately some of the biggest franchises isn't coming this year, namely Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. But we are getting Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Wii Fit U and Zelda: Wind Waker HD. But will any of these games be system sellers? Will any of these games draw in a new crowd? Will these games save the holidays for Nintendo?

What do you think? Personally I don't see many of these as true system sellers; NSMBU couldn't sustain the Wii U sales, so I wonder if SM3DW and Donkey Kong can now... And Zelda WW is merely a HD remake, and not an original game, and will Wii Fit U lure back the casuals once again? I'm sure these games combined will push quite a few systems, but will it be enough to compete with the up coming PS4 and XboxOne?

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Mario 3D world might be a system seller. Others that may move systems is tropical freeze, wonderful 101 etc.

Compared to? PS4? Without a doubt. X1? not enough information to decide.

No if you break down the upcoming releases:

Pikmin 3: Fun looking game, but way too niche.
Wonderful 101: Same thing as pikmin
Wii U fit: Casuals are long gone
Wii U party: Casuals are long gone
Tropical Freeze: A solid looking 2D plat, but still a 2D plat.
3D World: An uninspired, unoriginal piece of dog shit.

I don't think they have anything that is going to light the world on fire, but the combination of all of it should help at the very least.

It is a strong holiday lineup this year. It goes Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Retro's DKC:Tropical Freeze, Wii Fit U, Wii U Party, TZoZ Windwaker and the 3D Mario game itself, Super Mario 3D World. If that isn't a good showing, I don't know what is.
Plus some 3rd party titles that won't sell a system but they help.

Individually not really but theres about 10 quality exclusives and another 10 or so quality 3rd party games from August thru the end of the year, that combined with a new marketing campaign, price cut and holiday deals/bundles will ensure strong sales this holiday. It will outsell PS4/One over the holidays since they will cost $100-200 more and could have supply constraints. This will give Wii U strong momentum going into next year then Mario Kart and Smash will push alot of hardware next Spring.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Super Mario 3D World will sell systems, just like Super Mario 3D Land did.

This pretty much sums ups my feelings as well (except the comment about SM3DW!!)

@OnlyOptional: It IS a strong line up, but will it push enough systems? I'm not too sure. Only Nintendo faith fuls will buy it, and they'd buy it anyways eventually...

I don't think that lineup will turn sales around much. It's gonna be another sad Holiday season and the PS4 will quickly start to catch up the small sales lead the Wii U has.

But to me personally Zelda Wind Waker HD is a system seller this fall.

They will all bring in new customers, but they are too similar to truly be system sellers.
Well not Wii Fit U, but that's probably going to be released too late to make a big impact in the holiday business.
