I'm glad Sony is refocusing their energies in creating some unique features this coming next-gen.  It was the reason why they ruled 2 whole generations in the first place was doing their own thing.  Emulating other companies (motion control with the move and their foray in the handheld biz) was an unncessary distraction for the once king of the game industry.  Since focusing on their strength, which was home console and diviating away from the dedicated handheld industry Sony is favored to reclaim it's spot as the industry leader this coming gen.  Bravo Sony, and remember Great companies don't copy others ideas but inspire them.

Nintendo: 3 reigns on the Iron throne of gaming (NES, SNES, Wii)

Sony: 2* reigns (PS1, PS2)

MS: 0 the Robb Stark of gaming; but close on a couple of occassions ( I really love my X360s though so still hoping they have a chance one day)

*expected to rule the upcoming gen

They are perfect opposite so. Infogrames made shitty license  games for like 15 years, than Alone in the dark before they buy what was left of Atari and took their name cause it had better reputation.
